March’s birthstone is the aquamarine. The color can be pale to dark blue, greenish-blue, blue-green or a deep, intense blue.

Well, how about those colors for March.

February was missed so I will put this up a couple days early.

The weekend is upon us. Mild this morning but should warm up nicely. I am thinking of riding down to a veggie stand and stocking up on our supply of fried peanuts. A nice 75 mile ride down and back would be a good way to start the weekend.

Here is a short video of a section of one of the back roads I went on last Wednesday. We don't have any roads quite that curvy around these parts - have to go up into the hills in the northern part of the state. Almost the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. It was overcast but warm, and no rain.

By the way, anyone heard from Patty recently?  She used to post quite regularly but I haven't seen her on here recently. Might have just missed it though as I myself are hit and miss.

Good morning all. Quite warm here for Feb, already in the low 70's and only 6:30. (I looked at my watch and it said 5:55- must be time for a new battery).

Had a nice visit with DD and family. Rode my motorcycle up Monday and spent most of Wednesday riding the curves in north Georgia. Fun times.

I looked through the posts this week - too many to comment on individually but all were nice. Glad to see the activity.

Here are a couple of snapshots taken with my phone. I didn't take any of my "good cameras" with me on this trip. First stop was by a stream and the second at an overlook. The parking area was covered with graffiti. I don't really understand why people feel a need to do that. Ugly.

My plan for today is to clean the motorcycle and oil the chain. Hope all have a good day today.

Once again I'm awake way too early. So I might as well start us a Daily.

Here's another morning Golden Hour photo from several days ago - a yellow rose in front of a house down at the end of the block. Trying to control the intensity of the yellows, I made 2 versions: on my monitor this one does the better job of capturing the rich early light without totally losing control of the yellows...

My local weather forecast is for steady rain showers through Saturday night, although it's a few hours later in starting than predicted. Still, I'll probably get soaked by the time I start my 6:00 A.M. walk. But compared to what others have and will endure (Rich, your weather yesterday sounded brutal; Natalie, I hope you don't get hit too hard; Lorell, be thankful you are away in Florida), it's nothing to complain about.

You all have yourselves a good day or evening.

Hello all, and Happy Wednesday.
Nothing new from here except I am glad that we are not a part of the big ice storm making its way back home.
After Grant posted the colorful images of his ice-frosted window, I decided to have some fun of my own.

I will start and then post a pic. Another Solarization Frosty. And what it came from.

Good day, Foto Friends.

A succulent from the front yard, taken yesterday. This looks to be a composite type of flower, with many individual blossoms. How tiny? Well the entire flower measured along the diagonal in the photo is about 1 inch (2.54 cm), which would make each tiny blossom approximately 0.25 inches (6.35 mm) wide.

I hope you all have a good day and week.
