Hi. Freary here...some rain....got a bit cooler.....been looking at old photos....Did I ever share this one with y'all....it was when I did a photo shoot for my niece on her graduation from home schooling.....Then I played around with "floating" an image into another image. Sorry if it's a repeat.....I can no longer remember what I have or have not shared.

Hello all, and welcome to Friday's daily.
I was reading our local club's website and saw that there were 111 photos submitted for last evening's meeting.  Oh My!  That had to take a long time to get through all of those.  Now that we have more participating members (some members join but do not submit images), we shall have to reduce the number of images that each member can submit.  That is okay with me.  Sometimes it is difficult to come up with 9 NEW images that I feel are worthy of sharing.

Well, I hope you have a great start to your day.
Here's one from the Detroit Historical Museum visit that I did share for this month's meeting.

Good day, fellow Foto Friends. I hope it is. was, or will be a good one for you all.

I attacked the dandelions and other invasive in the outer front yard yesterday. Only got about 35% of it done before my aching back told me to stop. But even that 35% nearly filled our large green trash bin; judging by how heavy that bin felt as I was rolling it back out of sight it may have up to 40 pounds (18 kilos).

Rather than posting yet another floral, I decided to show three versions of a commercial roof-line in yesterday morning's half-light.

1)  First is the original uncropped and unprocessed image...

2)  Next the cropped color version; several layers to fine-tune values, and some color intensity work in isolated areas...

3)  I was pleased with the color version then thought the scene might be a good candidate for B&W, so I converted to grayscale and again tweaked the values...

Good morning. We are off this morning to take our travel trailer back to the dealer to get a new "fireplace" and recliner installed - replacements for the ones there. It is 1.5 hours to get there and they promised that they could complete it today so we can bring it home and not have to make another trip. Hopefully that will be there case.

One many Crested Cara Cara birds we saw while in Laredo.

Good morning all. The rain seems to have passed here although if is a bit cool outside. Low 30's.

I grabbed this photo as we were leaving Marathon, Texas on our way back to San Antonio to catch a flight the next day. I had seen this old abandoned building at the edge of town and wanted to shot it. I was fortunate that the sky decided to cooperate to give a pretty good image. Only took one shot as it was very windy and pretty cold that morning. I got lucky.

Quite a warm night when it is still 26˚C at dawn. Yes that's 78.8˚F.

Anyway, heres a male Australian orchard swallowtail getting a drink from the wet pavement where I'd been watering my garden.

Up late tonight.  Thought I would start the daily.
I took this photo the other day as I went for a nice morning walk.
Have a good Friday all,
LORELL

We'll have another beautiful day her. Although it's cold now at 05:30 (44 F or 7 C) it should rise to a clear and sunny 74 F (23 C) by noon.

Another photo from Tuesday. There is a small area between our garage and sidewalk that gets more moisture and shade than further out in the yard, and a variety of small-blossomed flowers do well here. Yesterday's blue bottle fly, today's photo below, and maybe 2 more over the next couple of days were all taken on Tuesday in this area, all within the same square foot.

I wish you all a happy, healthy, and productive day.

We had a beautiful day yesterday; clear and once the sun overcame the night's low temps it got into the 70s (21+ C). I took my usual early walk and enjoyed hearing the birds celebrate the new day in song.

For no reason I can figure, after I returned home I started getting pain in my right foot. It increased through the day and by mid-afternoon my big toe and the ball of my foot were really hurting. I can't put any pressure on my toe, meaning that when I try for my usual morning walk in an hour or so I won't be able to push off the toe at all. So what is usually a 25 minute walk will probably take closer to an hour later today.

Being somewhat hobbled yesterday, I didn't leave my yard. But the strong light complemented the flowers, and I got 4 or 5 photos that pleased me. Here is one...
