I have nothing new, so I pulled this out of my 2019 Archives.
   

Hi Everyone!
I am going to spend some time going back and looking at older posts. I took a quick peek...saw some tractors and beautiful flower shots!
I have 3 quilting projects in various stages that I'm working on. Biggest issue is materials acquisition's since I have to go out of town to
get what I need or wait for internet orders to arrive.

Tying a quilt with yarn or embroidery floss is one way of holding the quilt layers together and is time honored and acceptable.
I haven't tied a quilt together in years so I did a small sample project to test my techniques or try new ones.

Rather than spending time piecing together a top, I just went whole cloth.
It's about 36 x 45 inches and will be used as an ottoman cover. Its difficult to see the small yarn ties, but it was tied on a 4" grid.

   

Good morning all and welcome to the last week of August. Hope everyone has something good planned for the week. The only think for me (so far) is to have new tires put on the motorcycle. Ordered last week so when they come in I'll take the bike over to the shop and get new tires! These will be so much better then the OEM tires that it came with.

OK, I'll start the week with a few BW images from my ride over to Andersonville. These are mostly just random shots of the cemetery. One shows a representative section of what the wall of the prison would have looked like, with the guard tower. The little stone building to the lower right was built over a small spring, which was the only source of water for the prison. Conditions were abysmal to say the least.

Hope to see some activity here today.

Welcome to the weekend everyone. Well, today I was notified that the domain name fotofriends.net was set to auto renew next month, which means we have been "on the air" for almost a year now. Overall I'd say the forum is a success although perhaps a few more members would be nice. Still, we have a great core group here, but when one or two become inactive for a while, for whatever reason, it really shows. I know that I don't post as much as perhaps I should, but I do check regularly to see what is going on.

But right now I am about to gear up and take advantage of this weather to ride my motorcycle. I went up to a covered bridge yesterday and shot a roll of B&W file, posted a photo over in the monthly challenge thread.

Looking forward to another good year.

Good morning FotoFriends (or good day or good evening, depending on where you are).

A suburban sunrise taken a week ago and just now processed...

   

My PC is functional again. The problem was a bad power supply or its internal cable or both, so I installed replacements for both and let the PC stay on overnight. Looking successful so far.

Being without a PC gave me many free hours a day for other things that needed attention.

I took few photos during my down-time, but here's one of a rather stark color scheme for a nearby house. Stark it is, but the cacti add enough color to make the photo interesting (to me at least)...

   

Good afternoon to all. Went for a motorcycle ride this morning (a little over 150 miles total) down to a veggie stand to pick up some fresh veggies and fried peanuts. Ride was fun but got caught in the rain on the way back. Had my rain suit so no big deal though.

Didn't but anything at the hamfest last weekend, but I did run into an old work mate of mine from about 30 years ago and did a little catching up. That was fun.

Looks like we are off to a slow start here today.  Photos of some old tractors at the veggie stand. And of course my bike posing with one of the tractors.

Computer problems!

Several days ago my PC crashed and won't boot up. (I'm borrowing my wife's PC for this post.)

Looks like a failed power supply and/or its internal cable. Replacement parts are on the way - maybe tomorrow or Wednesday.

So I've fallen behind, including a promised PM to Quint. I'll try to catch up when the PC is working again.
