Greetings all!
South Dakota is starting to get some springtime weather. It can and probably will turn on us. A long way yet to April.

Here is a seafood restaurant in Nashville, TN we ate at before taking in a Grand Ole Opry  show. Both events were memorable.

Big day with dr's appt and two vaccinations plus a blood test. Then had to open the house gor the transitional aged care people to assess the house and install some aids for when the lady from ironbark comes home tomorrow.
I will have to drive the 55km to pick her up and bring her home.
Then on Monday I have to take her 200km to be assessed at the hospital where she had the operation.

fun times.

Haven't taken many successful photos but I kind of liked this one.
So I cropped a bit of tree out.

Greetings all! We are finally going to start getting relief from the subzero temps. Getting back to normal with temps in the 30's F.

Here is a photo of our public beach taken a couple of days ago. I learned to swim there when we moved to the lake in the mid-1950's. Very nice homes have taken the place of small homes when we lived there.

The city has plans to drain the lake this summer to dredge it which they hope will remove the algae problem. Will post another photo when/if that happens.

Good morning all. Having a bit of trouble sleeping - It's 0430 here and I have been awake since a little before 0300. Finally decided to get up and have a cup of coffee and see what is going on here.

I finally bit the bullet last week and traded my 2013 Ford F150 for a new 2025 model. My, what a world of difference. I loved my 2013 but it was time to trade before it really started to give me trouble. So far I am happy with the new one. I got a spray in bed liner earlier this week, and I have a Tonneau cover to install as soon as it gets warm enough to fool with it. Looks like an easy install, and easy to remove if I need the full bed.

I've posted a couple more shots from our camping trip. One is a currently abandoned Lodge near the National Wildlife Refuge where we were. They are in the process of refurbishing it into a venue for renting, as well as having offices and labs for research. We were fortunate enough to have been given a private tour of the inside. Should be very nice when completed. The other is a juvenile Yellow-crowned Night Heron that I spotted lurking in the underbrush. Took a bit of work to get a half way decent photo.

Good morning all. It is a chilly 17F here this morning. Coldest day we have had in a while. I am supposed to take my new truck to get a spray in bed liner done, so I will have to get out in it in a few minutes.

I sent both Lorell and Patty an email asking if they were coming back. Lorell said probably not, Patty might pop in occasionally. It would be nice if they both would come back, even if they don't post many photos.

Here are a couple more from our camping trip.

Good day or evening.

Another of the few survivors of late friend Ron's once magnificent roses...

BTW - I posted a new photo in the WhatIzIt? thread, so make your guesses.

Hello friends. My apologize for being inactive here lately. Just lots of real life stuff to attend to.

Ron's roses are nearly all ruined - such a shame that the new owner & tenants have done nothing to save them.

Anyway, here's a shot taken 2 days ago of one of the last survivors...

It's a Ketchup & Mustard rose, but the owner and/or tenants allowed it to be cross-pollinated, so it's no longer a pure K&M rose. I can see several areas where the cross-pollination effects are clear to me.

I tried to alter my signature line. If I did that you should see an addition presenting a sentiment that I want to have printed on tee shirts.

Greetings all! Oh the weather outside is frightful, but inside so delightful! We have had hurricane force wind the past few days and more to come. Temp out right now is 1 F, -17C, wind chill is -23F, -31C. We are paying for the last couple of weeks we had spring like temps.

Here are couple of photos from a trip I took years ago to the Carolinas. This is Kitty Hawk where the Wright Brothers had the first manned flight in 1903. I have other photos I will post later.
