Greetings Friends! March weather here as usual. High winds, rain changing to snow. We had a lovely end to February so I guess this is payback time!
Hope all is well with everyone.

Here is a photo of a Friday night car show last year. Palace in the background.

Good day or evening.

It's gonna be a busy and strenuous day for me. We've been on a big home cleanup effort for weeks and now have lots of stuff to toss into the 3-yyard dumpster we rented. Clothes, books, appliances, lots of furniture pieces and more. My job today is to get it all into the dumpster.

With all this effort I haven't had much time for new photos. So here's one of a sort of unusual flower enhanced by nice light,  taken exactly 4 years ago. just now reprocessed...

You folks have yourselves a good week.

TGIF folks.

Some small (larger than a blueberry but smaller than a grape) pink & white blossoms in our inner front yard.

I wish the bee was sharper, and I'm not happy with the crop I chose, but the blossoms and leaves in the COI area have nice clarity and sharpness. Maybe that's enough to give the photo some interest.

Have yourselves a good weekend

Happy Hump Day friends.

This morning brought fog near the coast so I timed my first walk to take advantage of how nicely the quality of the light in those conditions complements shots of flowers.

This one isn't as sharp as I'd like, but I'm trying to convince myself that's OK because the softness seems appropriate for a foggy morning. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I wish you all a good day or evening.

of a photo taken in March 2020.

The nerve of this guy, flashing me like that.

Some major accomplishments for me yesterday:

During a major house cleaning we discovered some things I've been hoping to find for decades: some old sketchbook, three Walter Foster art instruction books, and a box of hard pastels. Some of these things go back to the mid 1960s. I posted a few sketches from way back then in the Other Art thread.

And overnight I managed to salvage almost all of my photos dating back to 2017 that I thought were gone for good due to my recently deceased computer.

First, I apologize for being AWOL recently. Some medical issues over the past 8 days; one was pretty scary but fortunately after 5 hours in the ER I was told it was a false alarm and not a more serious issue.

Under the category of "How to ruin the looks of a fine car with a bad paint job decision", we have this...

I have nothing better with which to start a Daily than this unremarkable shot of a succulent taken in the front yard 8 days ago...

I hope all of you are well.

Rainy days are becoming a favorite of mine because there's something special about how the quality of the light enriches colors. Here's an example: a shot of white Alyssiums and pine needles & cones that I took 5 days ago...

I liked the rich colors, the contrasts (values: the white blossoms vs the dark pine cones; the fragility of the blossoms & needles vs the solidity of the cones.)

I had quite a health scare starting 3 days ago; ended up in the ER of a local hospital for about 5 hours while they did an ECG and took blood to run lots of analyses & tests. But it ended well with them telling me that the results of the ECG indicated that my heart health is that of someone decades younger.

That's good news of course and quite a relief, but the experience was unsettling.

I swear, every time I write a check and post the date, I have to think, "What year is it?"
It even happens when I start the daily.  Which means that I do not start enough dailies!
So far, I got it right. The good news is if I get it wrong, I know you will fix it for me.  That's what friends are for.
Today's Macro Monday Flikr group subject was Multiple Colors.
Below is the image I posted. Photo taken using my Lens Baby.
Have a great start to your week dear friends.
