Good morning - I have been on a motorcycle trip up to North Carolina and Tennessee to ride the infamous Tail of the Dragon. Just got home yesterday after riding in the rain for most of the trip back. I won't bore you with motorcycle photos, but here are a few other photos I took. The lobby of the local McDonald's where I had breakfast (no other place to eat there in Robbinsville, N.C.), a collapsed barn with the old See Rock City painted on the top (used to see a lot of these back in the day), and finally some red berries that caught my eye. Only took my Lumix with me, not any DSLR cameras. Just didn't have room on the bike.

This is a day often dreaded by those suffering from certain phobias: first there is paraskevidekatriaphobia, which is the fear of Friday the 13th; and there is the broader fear of the number 13 in general (triskaidekaphobia).

I've always liked the number 13.

From 4-1/2 years ago, here's a shot of representative ingredients for home-made salsa, sitting in a genuine Mexican molcajete...

Happy Hump Day (except for MFI, who is a day ahead of the rest of us).

A photo taken yesterday morning; it turn out pretty good considering that it was early morning in very low light...

Good day, everyone.

A shot taken yesterday morning of a neighbor's Morning Glory...

They are quite photogenic, but very invasive – if I didn't regularly cut them back, in 4 months or so they would extend under both of the cars in our driveway and well into our front yard.

I hope this day is or was a pleasant, productive, and healthy one for you

"Monday, Monday..."

This was the only other of Ron's roses worth taking a photo of Saturday...

Images

Each month I publish at least 8 images at our camera club, and put most of these up in Flickr. In future I will endeavour to publish a link to the Flickr version (as suggested by Peter MFI).

In September 2023, our set-subject was "Rainy Day". I submitted the following 4 images:

This first one was made from an image of rain clouds and an image of an unrelated farm road.

I made this image using a shot taken of the wife and myself under an umbrella, and an image of a city street (multiplied many times and superimposed.

A shot of two horses in Amsterdam se Bos, with raindrops added in Photoshop.

I think that I put this one up in FF earlier.

Seems like everyone (including me) has been AWOL lately.

In my case: 1) I replaced my old Wacom tablet and have had problems configuring it; 2) FotoFriends wouldn't accept my login credentials for a day; 3) continuing back pain and other less severe health issues have limited my photo outings.

I did get out yesterday morning. Ron's roses are really deteriorating: the Ketchup & Mustard roses seem to have disappeared, and most of the others are also faring poorly. But here's one I photographed yesterday...

I hope all of you are doing well.

I'm so far off topic I'll just post here.
The Zenza on a micro 4/3 again. I'm really digging the renditions it is giving me.

And the kitchen is finally coming along. The living room area is almost complete, now the master bath needs to be finished also.
