More classics from the Saturday show, a 1953 Chevy.
Looks like a work in progress on the interior, it will be nice when done!

The classic car show last weekend and I fell in Love.......with a 1950 Ford Convertible. Over 3 blocks of classic vehicles and "others" last Saturday. Many photos to show you.

Monday, Monday, so good to me.

Good day all.

Here's another photo of the same Ring-billed Gull I posted last week. Photo was taken at the Bolsa Chica Wetlands Ecological Preserve nearly 10 years ago...

And another TV trivia quiz. depending on your age and country, this one might be easy.

The actor who played the main character was Clayton Moore. Can you guess (without Googling) the name of the TV show and the name of the costar?

The weekend is almost upon us. I am about to go out and mow the lawn for probably the last time this year. I was going to do that yesterday but I waited around too long and before I knew it the temp was in the 90's - right now it is 65 so a good time to get it done.

I have about posted all of the photos worth posting from our trip, and am now down to the "travel snapshots" that I sometimes take just to help remember the experience. However, the photo of the stairs on board the ship I like because of the symmetry and the B&W treatment looks nice (I think). The other is one of the many lighthouses we saw.

Good day all.

Here's a shot (including a crescent moon) of yesterday's sunrise.

Very nice image of the Ring-billed Gull yesterday Dave. We saw several of them, along with some Herring Gulls on our Great Lakes cruise. Has to be one of the most common gulls, I think.

Here are a couple of photos from the cruise.  One of a double rainbow, and one showing how far from the "mother ship" we got on one of our Zodiac excursions.

The forum has been getting a number of new member requests recently, all based in Russia. I believe that they are all bots and not truly someone wanting to join a photo forum. I have been blocking and deleting them. It has been quite a while since we have been bombarded with these bots.

Good day folks. No new photos from me but I came across a bunch of old ones on an old external hard drive that I haven't used in years.

Gulls are so common here that I usually ignore them but this one turned out good enough to be worth the effort.

It's a Ring-billed gull, common all along our Pacific coast in the winter. Photo taken in October 2015 and slightly reprocessed this morning.

The ring on the bill evolved as a visual cue that stimulates the hungry young birds to peck at it, which n turns causes the parent gull to regurgitate fish it had caught.

Before our trip I left my truck with my mechanic to see if he could find what I thought was a parasitic leak, causing the battery to slowly be depleted. I had one once before that he was able to find and correct. Unfortunately, this time he said it never happened, and suggested I have the battery checked. Took it to the battery place yesterday (battery is less than a year old) and they gave me a loaner battery and kept mine to run some additional tests. I'll find out today if it is the battery or not. If yes, they give me a new battery. If no, I may very well trade my truck for a new one. We'll see. I hate these intermittent problems.

Here are 3 more photos from the trip.

Good morning all. We are back from our Great Lakes cruise - quite an adventure.

I'll be sharing some images over the next few days. I only had my phone and my little Panasonic P&S but managed to capture a few worthy shots. Lots of "travel snapshots" as well.

Hope all have been doing OK. We seem to be down to the last few members who are posting...

We were able to take a couple of rides on a Zodiac, and I snapped the first photo of an interesting rock formation. The next is a shot of one of the many lighthouses we passed during our sailing or on an excursion. Finally, the last is a shot of a formation called a Tabletop.

Dave, did you email Lorell and if so did you get a response. Hope she is OK.
