I think human hands are are fascinating (and an example of the clever and efficient solutions that adaptations that evolution can create). Over the years I've tried now and then to photograph hand, but never had much success. I decided to try again last week, but lacked a model. Do you know hard it is to photograph one of your own hands? Even harder if it's your dominant hand, which can increase the problems caused by hand tremors.

As with my past attempts, this one wasn't a resounding success. But Here's one that turned out not too bad...

I wish you all a good week.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Natalie, that must be Jack Frost!

Grant, our winter is about done. Maybe one more storm. Temps above normal by 10 to 20 degrees.
Keep them coming!

Thanks Rich, Natalie, and Grant.

Natalie, you are right about the thumb being too dark - thanks for that observation.

Nice one, Grant. I am not tired of seeing these.

I think it's interesting how different hands can have different hands can have different appearances, tell different. stories. The character of a male hand is usually quite different than that of a woman's.

A few months back I posted a shot of my wife's hand resting on one of our Westies; it as soft and graceful. The male hand can be gnarled, heavily-veined and knotted and show evidence of hard physical labor.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

I do agree Dave, about having difficulty shooting the other hand or even holding something in the other hand.
I've usually got terrible results.
Happiness simply is.
There need be no pursuit.
