Yes Dave, I enjoyed all the images too. Yours is very blue.
We have been having a bit of precipitation. Not all that common most years around here. I relish a bit of moisture.
Blessings to all on this beautiful Spring Sunday morning, though our temps are going should reach 89 today!
Going over to my daughter's house today and hopefully sharing lunch with her on her back deck.
Well, I think Rich had a good idea of joining Saturday's and Sunday's dailies. Makes sense to me. Even though most of us are retired, we still like to rest on the weekends, right?
Lots of good stuff here. Natalie, good focus on the spider and the bright colored flower is eye-catching. Don, I remember that trip you took the one year when it was monsoon weather conditions. Peter, thanks for posting the photo. Our photo club's challenge for September is spider webs and you just gave me the idea of how to make a spider web image unique and interesting. Yep, that macro shot is a definite winner in my book. Dave, I like that color blue too and on a hot mustang, it must look really sharp. Rich, well sir, I shall follow your lead. I am so excited because, after TWO years, the local "Cars Are Stars" car show is returning to the local Packard Proving Grounds about 5 miles north of where I live. It is an outdoor venue with tons of classic cars. So, I can finally capture some new car material. But for now, I went searching in my archives for a car with bulbous fenders like yours and found something and think this will do. This was taken at Stahl's auto museum.
I also chose this model after Don mentioned that he had thoughts of restoring classic cars. Well, friend, DO I HAVE A DEAL FOR YOU!
First, is a 1935 Delahaye. I do not know the current asking price for this vehicle but, as you can see, it needs no restoring.
Then below is the same model car that you can purchase in Beverly Hills CA at the Beverly Hills Car Club. Maybe visit Dave while you are out there. The price of this car is currently $185,000. I am not sure if your local Auto Parts store carries any of the replacement parts, however! This should keep you busy for a while.
Peter, that's a great shot of the spider web! The drops are amazing!! How can you be in the drops? Usually it turns what is behind it upside down....?
Hi, Don! Looks like that festival was a lot of fun, and also wet....Gotta be prepared for anything, I guess!! Cameras have come a long way since 2005, still, some nice shots.....first digital camera I got was in the 90's and the photos were so bad I returned it after just taking a few photos......
Gobsmacked!! LOL! But I do see what you mean, Dave! Lovely shade of blue!
Lorell, that is one sparkling automobile.....WOW! I have never heard of a Delahaye.....but then, I don't live in circles that can afford that one!!
Here is one from my archives taken back in 2008...I ran it through fotosketcher and then played a little bit more...reminded me of Lorell's first image in this thread.....
Yes Natalie, the majority of the drops do that but if you look at the right side, that drop must have been angled differently. I know it is me because I can see my hair.
