Correction: it was my wife's mother who passed recently.
My wife would rather not have regular dialysis, but it beats the alternative. Her surgery was simply to put in place the tubes and such needed for at-home dialysis so we'll be ready when that becomes necessary.
Yes, there are alternatives to Photoshop but I've learned how to use it efficiently, and I'm too old for the steep learning curve I'd face with a different photo editing program.
I'm still investigating how to retrieve data from a dead computer. I have nearly 1 terabyte of files I need to get at and copy to 2 different drives on the new PC.
