Hi, Dave.
Thanks for starting the weekender with the bright green spray of fern fronds.
Today is the 2024 Woodward Dream Cruise. I always say that I will drop in on my SIL who lives only THREE houses off of Woodward Ave. I would have the perfect parking spot. But the last three years my daughter and I have attended a charity quilting sale in a small town about an hour from her house and 1.5 from mine. As a matter of fact, I just got home about an hour ago. It was a good day, since I am more into buying fabric and making quilts than photographing cars.
"the Woodward Dream Cruise is the world’s largest one-day automotive event, drawing over 1-million people and 40,000 classic cars each year from around the globe—from as far away as Australia and Japan. Cruisers from all across North America, including Canada and Mexico, caravan to Metro Detroit to participate in what has become, for many, an annual rite of summer."
So, there are no photos of cars to share, but here is a photo I posted in the club's meeting two nights ago. And it is from one of my sewing trips with my daughter. Believe it or not, the photo has SO much color that it looks better in Black and White. All of the colors distract from the star of the show which is A MADE IN AMERICA SINCER SHOWING MACHINE.
