Our lake is fed by a creek which was dammed up in the early 1920's. The creek feeding us is also cattle land. As you said Patty, cows don't care. We are getting a set back and other measures too. Been going on for years!
Any overflow of the dam keeps the lake from flooding the landowners around the lake and feeds the creek continuing downstream.

Peter, lovely waterdrops!
