Grant, don't feel bad, we are struggling with our temps here in Michigan. I am tired of waiting for spring blooms to emerge. On the other hand, your frosted limbs make for a delightful image.
Sorry that it took me so long to return with my creation as promised. I actually got both culinary and artistic desires fulfilled today. After starting out with a photo I took at the Ford Museum, I took breaks to change beds, vacuum, and do laundry. I returned to the computer and moved my museum image over to my Affinity software program. But since the afternoon started speeding by, I relocated to the kitchen to make some Pasties for my boys, husband and son. My son has the flu of some kind, all achy and feverish. He took a Covid test and it came back negative, but he feels totally horrible. Yesterday I made him some kitchen soup and by 4 pm today, I left 2 fat and juicy Pasties on his doorstep.
After all of that, it was back to my photo creation.
First the original. One thing I really like about the Henry Ford Museum is that they frequently put related backdrops behind the items that they are spotlighting, like this one. So, I composed my photo to make sure their background filled my background in my camera. To make it look more realistic, I selected the car to a separate layer, blurred the background, and then put the car back into the composition. I may use this for "show and tell" at a club meeting but feel that I need to try to make it better. The background in the distance should not be so blurry. If I do attempt to make the background look realistic, I will use photoshop since they have a blur called Path Blut which blurs along a path way.
But for now, as promised:
