Definitely interesting carousel.
I'm not fond of mosquitoes either and particularly because of JEV (Japanese encephalitus virus) which is spread by mosquitoes first biting infected pigs. There are a couple of piggeries nearby where we were looking at the orchids.

Australia is home to the world’s most diverse terrestrial orchids and about 80 per cent of these are not found anywhere else in the world.

Yet, many of Australia’s 1,300 native orchid species – which make up 10 per cent of the country’s flora – are threatened by agricultural and urban development.

The Diuris family are generally called donkey or rabbit because of those ears, Lorell.  This species is known of as Leopard because of the spots on the back of the flower and on the lip.

Happiness simply is.
There need be no pursuit.

Congratulations, Don, on you forum being on almost a year now! Love the detail of the bridge...I have wooden peg construction in my old barn. It's very interesting old carpentry. Thanks for the detailed information, too. Enjoy your ride!
Dave, I believe I like your color version of the lily best....I think the yellow POP and the muted background has more effect!
Peter, love your orchids....I'm sure I could find a couple of orchids or orchid like plants in the woods, but with bad knees and back and allergies to poison ivy, I don't venture into the woods anymore....that does look like a huge mosquito....ugh...
Lorell, that is a wonderful blue shot! I can see why they planned the carousel like they did. It definitely fits! Love the choice of rides on it. It looks more like it's planned for adult enjoyment rather than children, tho.....
