Diner shot. Q2

Good morning Michael. Nice interior shot of the diner... I went to my files from our recent Texas trip and pulled out this image (converted to B&W). A little cafe where we stopped for lunch between San Antonio and Laredo. Good food, interesting conversation with the folks inside.

Hey all.
We got back from our one-month vacation in Florida. Wow did we luck out with the weather in Florida and with the trip back home. We even beat the winter storm that is now barreling in on us that is suppose to dump possibly a foot of snow. We had a great time, but I really did not take many photos this year. I am not beating myself up for it. I couldn't get myself to go out and take pictures of the same things I have taken in the last eight years. So, I did a lot of NOTHING, other than eating and playing Canasta on the computer. I feel guilty but the view is still incredible and the sunshine feels good on my face. Michael, that is a fun way to start this daily. I just love those signs overhead, "Time Fries when you're hungry", "Almost famous CA???? and Egg Sandwhich". I like how you caught the waitress with a smile on her face It must be the locals that she is serving. I bet the food was tasty. Hey Don, Looks like a cool country diner that you stopped at. I am sure that I can add to this theme. Good to be back and promise to start posting again on a regular basis. LORELL A little later: Well, I found one. But even it is sort of a duplicate of the photo that I took several years ago at the same STAR FISH COMPANY OUTDOOR RESTAURANT and BAR. But this one has different people in it! At least I hope so. It is also a vertical shot.

Michael, good to see you back and posting! Good works, I have been lurking!
I like this diner shot...gritty! Tin ceiling is 1880- early 1900's. Might be reproduction but looks nice. Sign reminds me of a Laurel and Hardy film, Oliver always saying "That's a fine pickle you got us into!" Don, neat looking cafe! I like the race horse photo or painting. Welcome back Lorell! Hope you didn't get sunburned! Your restaurant looks like a nice cozy spot for locals! Hope you don't get all that snow. We have spent $1700 on snow removal so far on the condo lot. Been trying to find a photo I took last year in Oklahoma City of a coney dog place. Discovered all I had was an outside shot. |
