It's a gray morning here, but I have no new colorful photos to brighten things up. So back into my archives (to April 2017) for a red poppy image that I don't think I've posted before...

Wishing you all a happy, safe, and productive weekend.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Wednesday:
Peter, what a pretty little orchid.....I like the real colors, but the mural is lovely!! Better than an old plain wall!!
Thursday:  Some excellent shots!!
Great color in the sky, Dave!
Rich, our Cabella's closed. Not enough business, I guess...that is some great quail!!  Sorry about the corn shortage. We had a drought, too, corn harvest not that great here, either.
Patty: That's a pretty erosion pool!! Nice that it shows before and after in the leaves!!
Friday:
Patty, I love it when the whole leaf is eaten away, making it like lace....in a garden/yard, not so nice!!
Sat/Sun:
Dave, that's a neat closeup....poppies are so interesting! Nice and bright!!
I have been busy, too.....but trying to catch up.....as I was walking the dog, I saw the recent rains have brought out this fungus....it's about 10 inches across!!

That's a lovely image of the flanders poppy Dave.
Thanks for your comment Natalie. Smile
That's a humungous fungi. Smile

Haven't got much to show apart from the dominant thing on the skyline in town at the moment.

Hi all.
I have been a wee bit busy.
The photo club meeting went well and I got some nice compliments.
I ended up using the Pelican #2, the Packard Car and the Princess boat, I cannot remember which one right now.
It was very interesting to see all of the different styles of sketches.  Some used software that I did not even know existed.  There is so much stuff out there now.

Dave, your poppy is a winner.  I would have guess that was yours with both of my hands tied behind my back!  That definitely is YOUR style. And few can reproduce it.

Natalie, that looks like the seat of a stool.  Have you seen stools like that, they sort of a look like a saddle.

Hey Peter, thanks for the identification.

I did some yard work today and made the most delicious pot of Cabbage Soup if I must say so myself.
We have a gorgeous day with temps in the low 70's and a nice breeze.  I might go for a walk tonight and take some Halloween photos.  There are sure enough ghosts and goblins to pick from out there.

I thought I would go over and see how my Pelican would look if I applied a Vincent Van Gough filter to it in Deep Dream Generator.
I think it is good enough to share.
Have a good rest of your day.

Nice job on the pelican there Lorell. Smile

This may be a bit pornographic. Particularly since it also contains a voyeur.

Peter,
That image was not there when posted.
Interesting, what is going on in the background?

The background? This is down on the forest floor. The background is sticks and darkness.

Thanks for the reactions to my poppy macro.

Natalie, I was just talking with someone yesterday about large fungi like the one you posted. Nice capture.

MFI, that's a huge crane. And the insect photo is an excellent one. BTW, when Lorell asked about the background, maybe she was talking about the crane photos.

Lorell, excellent treatment of the pelican.

Hi Michael. You got some beautiful blues there.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Ah I'll try for better photos from other directions. The Base Hospital is getting upgraded. The crane has to be used because there's no space to muve stuff about since the hospital is carrying in business during the upgrade.

This shot is a bit blurry but it might give it more scale.
