New as in Fresh paint. When looking at real estate Gray and or Greige have been in style for almost a decade.
I must say I am not a fan. The colour we are painting over the dull grayed green is Vanilla Cream an almost white & brighter version. It should be uplifting on dull overcast days. I must add that it is taking 3 coats and there is a lot of cutting in

Oh, great idea, Michael, for July's challenge.
Congrats on your new lens. That is exciting. Wow, a 1.4. That is really fast. What subject(s) are you aiming to use it for? it should produce a nice bokeh. Is the camera taking this photo as you look at its reflection in a mirror? I know that you are clever enough to think of something like that. Thanks for starting the new challenge. Grant, I hope grey is on its way out, though I do like how bright colors pop when you decorate a grey room with almost any and all bright colors. Looks like you got some nice natural light coming into that room. But if you experience many cloudy days, I see why you are painting it a bright color. I hate cutting in and seems like I always have to do that job. Natalie, My nose starts to itch just looking at that photo. It seems like when I am around that stuff, I start to sneeze or my head gets stuffed up. It is a wonderful photo. I like the perspective from which you took it. And those clouds are real plus too. Well, I cannot think of anything new to share right now. But I am sure that I will think of something. LORELL

This challenge was not my idea. Peter came up with this one. If I'm wrong, please correct me, but, great subject and idea.
I never buy a lens with a particular subject in mind. I just wanted something wider and sharp. I took the photo with the Leica Q2. Easier than using a mirror, LOL. Grant, Love the new color choice, a lot of work getting that done. Are you using any Kilz? Natalie, I love the shot, I really can't wait for fall to hurry up and get here. Sometime in December....ugh

Grant, I had that color in my kitchen in my former home, with a really white ceiling, and I loved it!! You will like it when the sun comes in!! Yeah, I had a friend who paiinted her walls gray, she did not finish painting as a guy came in and said it looked like the color of concrete blocks, so she quit painting. A year later she painted it maroon.....was really a dark room after that....ugh.
Thanks for the nice compliments on the straw.....Michael, it's not a fall image....it is a field that was planted in wheat last winter, and the wheat ripened in early summer, and wheat was harvested and baled the straw last week. Now he will plant a short season soybean to be harvested in the fall.....

Yes I did suggest that since our last challenge was old, why not try new.

Diggin' the new sprout! (VERY bad pun)
The newest member of our family. I went to the vet this morning to get some pills for one of our cats. Vet said she has a dog that needs a good home. I said absolutely not! She brought "Chrissy" out from the back...and...I went to work with a new dog. So, apparently she is a Merle French Bulldog. I had never heard of that before, so, internet research time. Good Lord I am glad I didn't have to pay for this sweet, precocious, happy ball of fur!! Yes, I know I missed focus, I got tired of laying on the floor waiting for her to be still.

Michael. is half the face dark and half merle? Do they call that a Chimera in a dog? I know they do in Tortoiseshell cats......
