Happy 1st of July to All!

Yesterday while I was watching the dragonflies, the red tail hawk went screaming overhead so even on a mono pod, I swung the rig up and grabbed a not-so-great shot, but its all I have for now!

Interesting photos in Thursday's thread. The vulture does look like a statue!
Dave, I, too, like that te cuke is reaching out....good find!!
Patty, that dragon fly image has wonderful colors, and sharp focus on the face! Nice!! If that hawk is hanging around, you should be able to set your camera up and get some nice closeups!! Your shot today isn't bad at all!!
Peter, not sure what you shot through, but it does have a lot of interest....fun experiment!!
This sunflower came up on it's own in the compost heap...the honey bees like it!! And my little green bean arbor is pretty easy to pick from, and the varieties I planted sure do produce a lot of beans!!

Natalie, now that's the way to grow beans! Easy pickens!

Beautiful Sunflower! Sharp! That bee is busy as a ..... you know!

Here is the Dove Love couple that are residents of the condo tree!

damar, a well composed and exposed photo of a raptor, soaring high and apparently vocalizing about something (does he/she see potential prey aloft?) is always good.

Natalie, your arbor is very impressive. And that sunflower looks gargantuan. Well done on both.

Hi Rich. "Dove Love" - what a great phrase.

Sorry - I currently have no photos worth posting.

Have a good weekend, everyone.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Thanks Dave!

Natalie, your green bean arbor is brilliant! I don't grown beans and peas because I find having to string them up is a pain.
That is an excellent way to grown them and it looks great!
Your sunflower photo just makes me smile! The bee is a nice touch too!
Thanks for the comments on the hawk. I don't think I could sit out there for more than 20 minutes. It is so hot and muggy.
If they're not straight up overhead they are beyond the tree tops.
I wish we had more open sky.

Hi Rich!
Nice catch on the Dove couple! So Cute!
I love dove. I don't see them as pests at all. (some folks do)
I used to raise ring necks and sell them at a farm shop.
I tried releasing them to see if they would stick around the yard, but they didn't.
Their little pink legs and feet are just so cute!
(they love cracked corn!)

Vultures are creepy but necessary!
Very graceful in flight.

My guess would be ring-neck pheasants.

Ah. I see said the blind man to the deaf mute.

My local ringneck is the mallee ring-necked parrot.
