Good morning all. It is 0347 and yep, I can't sleep. So I decided to start the thread for today.

Later today we'll be packing for a weekend trip up to Atlanta to visit with DD and family. We haven't seen them in a while so that will be fun. We will be going up Thu and coming home Sun. I need to prepare some hangers on a few frames and get some prints framed for an exhibition next month. Several of the members of our local photo club are displaying their work in a gallery a few miles away. I wasn't planning on doing that but there are 50 spaces available and our chapter is small so the coordinator of our group is asking everyone who will to participate. I had to get some prints made and buy more frames but that's how it is.

Hope all are having a nice, restful sleep. I'm not. Sad

Have a good trip, Don.

You have reminded me that I have 3 or 4 photos I want to get printed and framed. But I'll need to see if my favorite framer for many years is still operating - his is (or was) a one-man shop, he does quality work, has a large variety of frames and mats, and a great eye for selecting frame & mat colors to complement the photo. All at a price that is less than 60% of what others charge.

The wayward egret that I took photos of and posted last month returned yesterday. In fact it's likely that he's been here several times, but I wasn't out and about to see & photograph it. (I'm quite sure it's the same young bird because it still looks not quite full grown and I doubt other egrets would adopt this unusual (and probably risky) behavior of walking around in a dense suburban area.)

Anyway, I saw him hop onto someone's car in the driveway; he sat there for a few minutes before flying off to the west, hopefully heading towards the wetlands ecological preserve. Here's on of only a few shots I managed to get...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Don, I imagine you have lots of things rolling around in the brain. Hard to shut then off. Hope you do well with the exhibit.

Dave, that's a darn good deal, 60% difference.
Good catch on the egret. In studying that photo I can see why man thought he could put wings on and fly. Now if we only had hollow bones and less body fat!

Here is a beauty of a 1939 Plymouth. I have several other shots I will add to a separate thread later.

Sorry you can't sleep, Don. I have had nights like that. I end up turning on the TV and putting some old show on, like Golden Girls, and then I fall asleep....go figure! Glad you will get some photos on exhibit....maybe you can sell something! Meanwhile have a nice visit with your DD.

Dave, I found framing is very expensive!! Glad you found a framer that can save you some bucks! Glad you got to see your egret again! Hope you continue to see/shoot him/her all summer!! Nice in flight shot!

Rich, is that car purple?? That's a fancy one, too. You sure do have some nice ones in your area. We live near the ocean, and because of that our vehicles rust more that in other areas....Older cars and trucks that are in shows are sometimes purchased farther inland.....

Nothing from me today. Rich, we have had severe winds for weeks. I am so tired of the wind!! and cooler weather than normal....
