Last day of the month... time sure goes by. I think we are expecting some rain this weekend.
More photos from the cruise. I have many that I will not post as they are mostly just travel snapshots for memories. Street shots, buildings, bridges, photos taken around the cruise ship, etc. It's fun to go back after some time and view past trips. Actually, I consider these to be "travel snapshots" except for the rope, where I liked the color and pattern. The quality of the previously posted night cityscape (hand held from the stateroom) and the Statue of Liberty (not sharp) are not the best...
"A moment in time
Immortalized forever
With silver and light"
I love the first one: that lovely pale yellow plays so nicely against the blues and grays.
Your lighthouse photo is also top-notch. Solid composition as always, expertly controlled values, and the red atop the lighthouse is the last but important bit that makes this photo so good.
The Statue of Liberty has been photographed so often that it's hard to take a shot that doesn't look like 1000's of others. So I admire your creativity in finding a novel viewing point.
Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Awesome Don! All three great shots, Dave said what I was thinking! The rope reminds me of my Navy days!
I am going to break the rules, just a small crack. I painted a watercolor of the lighthouse at Peggys Cove. I received permission to use a photo during the Wet Canvas days taken by Tick-Tock if anyone remembers him.
Your photo is so stricking with the contrasting colors and awesome sky!
