May as well since Saturday is mid afternoon here.

Speaking of mistletoe Something I have a lot of around here. It is all related to the mistletoe bird, which does nest around here and I have taken photographs of that many years ago. Photobucket keeps asking me if I want those photos back but I know I can always find them on some old CD/DVD or scan them off prints or slides. I do have a Flickr album of local mistletoe but I haven't dug out the photos of the birds at the nest yet.

There is so much to learn about how this parasite and all the Animalia that depend upon it.
ie: The Wattle Acacia homalophylla is known as Yarran and common around me. Upon this Acacia and others is the grey mistletoe using the tree as a host and upon this mistletoe the Spotted Jezebel, Delias aganippe is dependant on this mistletoe as it's host plant.

Lovely photo.

I am fascinated by  the complex interaction among several organisms as they co-evolve, usually to the mutual benefit of each of them.

Mother Nature is so creative. in causing or setting the stage for different organisms to evolve together in unexpected and wonderful ways.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Great photo, Peter, and a lesson in codependence to boot.
Good morning, Dave.
My photo club meeting went well and I was pleased with the comments from the members.
Below is a photo for the  "VERY BEST" category. This is taken inside the store on an Amish farm.  In the fall we buy our apples from this farmer.
The club members liked this one a lot.

Have a great weekend all.

Don, I do like the sky and the red and greens. Smile It was probably worth processing.

I see that I put a butterfly and a yarran branch up and then talked about mistletoe.
I had put Harlequin Mistletoe in an earlier post but this should be about the Grey Mistletoe mentioned above.
In this shot it can be seen almost taking over the tree but in time the mistletoe will fall off and the tree will go on.

Lorell. you are excellent at understanding your subject and using that knowledge to create a mood for your images that perfectly suits the subject.

Don, I agree with MFI: appealing colors, also well-composed - definitely worth processing. Maybe expand the range of values to introduce some brighter lights and darker darks?

MFI, more interesting photos of the wonders Down Under!

Bee leaving Oxalis blossoms...

I wish us all a good Sunday.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Dave has done well here. Absolutely love the bee with yellow oxalis.

The covered bridges interest me. I must do some research into learning about them. Why they were built and other history. I don't believe I've seen one in Australia.

Cemeteries. One needs to spend a lot of time in them in order to harvest the light that changes in them. In some there may be wildflowers extinct elsewhere. You found a tree, Don.
