Another Car show. Our car club, 301 Rodz, keeps busy in the summer. Once a week. Some different cars each time. Here is the 1914 METZ! https://rmsothebys.com/auctions/hf19/lot...-roadster/

Hi Rich and thanks for starting a Daily for us , with more of your excellent antique car photos.

A 1914 car? 110 years old - that's amazing!

Here's a recent (2024-08-05) photo of a favorite subject - a bit of growth in my neighborhood that usually is of some long and dangerously sharp green and yellow blades with a hint of red to offset the predominant green.

When I opened this photo in Photoshop I realized that it had more clarity than most of my photos, and I tried to preserve that in my processing...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Thanks Dave! Yes, the oldest car I have seen at our shows!

I agree! Nice and sharp with excellent lighting and exposure! Well composed! Good one!

Good afternoon Dave and Rich. Interesting car Rich - I wonder what kind of transmission it had? No clutch. Maybe a centrifugal clutch. Forerunner to the modern automatic I guess. Nicely restored.

Dave, kudos for the photo. The lighting is perfect, really makes the subject pop.

We got our new dishwasher delivered yesterday afternoon, and I spent the rest of the day trying to get it installed. Things never go as planned. Got it operational late yesterday and ran it through a cycle - no leaks, fortunately. This morning I finished leveling it and attaching it more securely. It will be nice to no longer have to wash everything by hand. 1st world problems.

It is 97.4F right now, really hot. I've been keeping an eye on the weather down in the Florida panhandle, and am tentatively planning my trip down on Tuesday to return on Thursday. Get some more miles on the Spyder.

Thanks Rich and Don.

97.4 degrees! That's brutal, especially if the humidity was high.

I admit that in my processing I pushed the clarity, sharpness, and color saturation in the COI. Maybe that made the image look slightly artificial, but I'm quite happy with the nature of the light in the final image.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Don. Good work on the dishwasher! You are getting the temps and humidity we have had for a couple of weeks. It finally broke a couple days ago and this morning a pleasant 52F, humidity high at 80% but with low temps that is tolerable. Have a pleasant trip!
Thanks for your comment on the car. It was a Friction transmission with chain drive. First automatic as you said!

Dave, I didn't think your image looked artificial at all.
