Pete's Images

Silmilar likes as Dave but truthfully I like them all and see much of interest in the arch at red stone hills. Including the rows of peach trees in front.

Thanks for the comments, Dave and Peter.

That arch at Red Stone Hills is a real problem. When you stand in front of it, you are immediately struck by the arch as the centre of interest. However, when you look at any resulting image, the arch is not at all prominent. I have taken many variations of this shot in the past without success! However, this time around, I decided to increase the size of the arch. Here the arch has been increased linearly by a factor of about 2 (i.e. takes up four times the image area of the original). However, the whole thing is somewhat over-processed, so I do not really like the picture.

Pete, all wonderful photos. I am liking the B&W. What a lonley place to live. Awesome contrast and clouds are magical.

I have read about the rocks moving across the sandbars, awesome!
The abstract with the red swirl is great!

Pete, Is that a nursery or close planted peach trees in the right foreground?

Thanks for the comments, Rich. The B&W cottage was deserted of course. The sky came from my collection of sky shots.

Peter - It's a farm, some trees and vines in evidence. There were about six rows of trees (I'll take your word for them being peach trees) between the fence and the river. I was shooting through the fence - had to clone out some bits of fence at the bottom of the frame.

Well, something in the Prunus family. Wink
Maybe a patch of bamboo in the left foreground?

There are a number there that could have gone in the June Monthly comp.

I like the ones without people in them too. In particular the non-street one, the rock disturbing the waves.

Very impressive set of images, Pete. My favorite is the Taal Monument. The trees, the mountains, and the stone sculptures, and maybe even the clouds all follow the same theme ......good find!!
I agree with Rich, the showing of interest is funny!
