[Dave]

Good day or evening.

Another from my front yard, taken 3 days ago...

What a grand World Cup it was.

Congratulations to Australia and New Zealand for planning and presenting this remarkable sportis spectacle. The most attended and most viewed women's sporting event ever! Well done.

I applaud the performances of the many teams that overachieved - Morocco, Nigeria, Colombia, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Philippines, Jamaica, and South Africa come to mind (and my apologies for any I've missed).

And of course congratulations to Spain for their triumph.

[Rich]

Love this one Dave! Good contrast to show off the flower. Glad you still have power!

[Dave]

Thank you kindly, Rich.

As I had expected, the SoCal tropical storm didn't cause any serious problems in my area. Quite a bit of rainfall but no flooding. We must have had some strong wind gusts while I was sleeping because early this morning I found a 3-foot branch broken off and pine needles covering some streets. But I saw no damage.

Right now we have a nice afternoon sun under a mostly blue sky.

But it never rains in southern California.
