Hi, I just got back home from up north.
I tried getting on this site from my phone, but for some reason I was unable.
Dang it.  I hate being away for so long.

I had a nice time at our trailer, first for three days with my significant other and then four days with my daughter.

I came back home only because I have my photo club meeting tonight. I hate missing that. And this weekend we are going out to dinner with some friends and then celebrating Father's Day.  It looks like I will have to host since neither one of the kids raised their hands.  Oh well, maybe we will just do Chinese Carry Out.

One of the categories for tonight's club meeting is OLD BUILDINGS. I took this shot with my cell sitting in my car at a red light.

I used Topaz to turn it into B&W and add a little drama to the sky.

Good to be back.

A dark and dramatic entry to the church. Is the 304 the street address? Don't think any of our churches have a number on their door.

Because I planted trees I get visitors that brighten my day.

Thanks for starting a Daily for us, Lorell.

You nailed  it for "Old Buildings." And it has a bit of an ominous, even menacing feel to it. I could see it as the cover image for a horror or thriller book set in New England.

So far my 2023 gardening efforts look like they might be productive. Although only half of the tomato seeds that Steve (aka Quint) sent me sprouted, but the other half are growing well and looking pretty healthy. Even got a few blossoms on a couple of the varieties from Steve, along with my all-time favorite tomato, Black Krim. Keeping my fingers crossed.

So I took some photos of the tomato and pepper plants this afternoon, plus a bunch of other flowers in the front yard; narrowed it down from the original 182 shots to 27 maybe worth working on.

Wonderful photo, MFI.

Anyway, here's one of the keeper shots from this afternoon. I like that the overlapping of the flower, the structure behind it, and the blurred yellow-green behind them work to enhance the depth. Sorry but I don't know the name of this tiny blossom...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Hi guys,
The photo club meeting went well tonight.
Some nights I come home a little discouraged, but not tonight. I got some oohhhs and awwwws when my photos popped up on the screen. The church photo went over big, they mentioned how it looked like the tree was devouring the church. Although I think that this church is now someone's house. There was no "sign" for a church on the front lawn and the only thing on the door was the address.

Peter, that is a delightful and colorful capture. Wow, what beautiful birds you have in your backyard.

Darn, you have every reason to be happy with that photograph. I like the soft dark bokeh background and the rich yellow color of the flower. Wow, it looks like it is going to be a great start to this series of flower shots from your front yard. Looking forward to seeing more.

Love the moody B&W photo Lorell. Outstanding work.

Colorful bird Peter.

Dave, I like how you cropped the image. Works well.
