Good morning all. I have some catching up to do... we have been in Iceland for the past week and a half or so and just got back home yesterday.

Here is one ( of several ) photos from the trip. Lots of birds, waterfalls, scenic landscapes, etc. This one is just a bee on a blossom though.

Nice one, Don. You nailed the focus on the COI,

I'm sure am looking forward to seeing more of your Iceland photos.

All I have to post is a so-so shot of a pinkish rose...

My daily walks and therefore my photos have decreased lately. Took a fall last week returning to bed after a bathroom visit (you guys of a certain age may know about that). Luckily I missed the corner of the dresser and any other hard surface that could have made it kinda serious, so I didn't think much of it. But the fall did loosen a tooth that I later lost, and after a day left me a bit sore. Even though it wasn't a big deal, I really hate that my balance failed me. As they say, getting older ain't for wimps.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Lovely bee, Don. I recently watched a docco on Iceland. A very interesting place. 400,000 people and 600,000 sheep.

It is a lovely shade of pink, Dave. Wink

Hey, Don, welcome home. I am looking forward to hearing more about your trip and of course seeing lots of the images you took. Is it as beautiful as they say it is? How is the food and your accommodations? Was it tough being in a plane that long? Well, the bumble bee looks like it could come from here but the white and yellow fuzzy structure is unidentifiable.

Dave, that is a pretty soft pink bloom with a nice variety of green in the background.

Hey Pete, that looks like a eucalyptus tree. Am I correct?

Yep. Eucalyptus camaldulensis var. obtusa, to be specific.

Peter, an interesting tree. Read a stat on South Dakota, my state. Rounding off here, we have 800.000 population and 3.8 million cattle.

Don, what Dave said! Beautiful!

Dave, Glad you didn't break anything except your pride. Beautiful pastel colored rose.

Thanks MFI. Very appealing photo of the Eucalypts; I like the dappled light, the rich brown darks, and the lighter green in the middleground. Excellent composition, too.

Thanks Lorell. I'm glad you commented om the greens - I liked how they looked too.

Rich, thank you. Yeah, my pride took a beating; fortunately nothing else got bruised much.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!
