Consider this thread a half-Weekender.

Last week Don posted a bird in an unusual posture, and I mentioned that I have several shots of this type. Couldn't locate the ones I was thinking of, but I did stumble across this one of a colorful male Rufous Hummingbird taken in May of 2014 in our back yard...

He's perched on one of the long metal rods of a discarded tomato cage.

I hope you are all having a good weekend.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Hi Dave,
Try selectively sharpening just the beak, as it hides a bit too much. Especially when the wire shows so much.
It is different though....!

Hi there and Happy Mother's Day.
I cannot wait, we are going over to my Son's house for dinner.
Hurray!
I baked a FRUITS OF THE FOREST PIE for dessert as my contribution to the feast, "Fruits for the Feast" . Maybe I should have picked up some vanilla icecream to go along with that.  Hmmmm...not too late, right?

Well, I hope you are all having a great Sunday.

Dave, I REALLY LOVE that shot.  It is likes Don's little blue birdie shot getting his groove on.  THere is so much character in this capture.
Thanks for making sure we had a weekend thread.

Still tired from yesterday's LONG photo shoot with the club.  Got a few good shots. We saw 4 freighters go by on the St. Clair River.  That was a treat.

Until I can process them, this will have to do.

Thanks for the suggestion, Grant - excellent advice.

You are very kind, Lorell. Somewhere I have more photos of this guy, plus shots of a different hummer scratching himself vigorously.

Beautiful card.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!
