I've been hoping someone would start us a Daily today but it's been a while so I decided to do it.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all, Irish or not. We have planned a meal of corned beef, cabbage, carrots, and potatoes for later today.

Just a little shot from 5 days ago of a lot of potential pines. This sphere of tiny cones is small - about the size of a golf ball. At least it has a wee bit of green in it...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Good afternoon Dave and thanks for starting the daily. Don't know where everyone is today.

Nice image to start the day. I like the format too.

I think we will be having the same meal tonight. Bought all the fixins yesterday and even had Reuben Sandwiches yesterday for lunch to start early.

Took a drive up to Callaway Gardens yesterday to renew our annual membership and check out the tulips that were in bloom. In addition to the flowers, I played around a bit with some intentional camera movement (ICM). Not a great image but different. I also shot a few pinhole images and finished up a roll of B&W film as well. Hoping to get that processed this afternoon.  Tomorrow early I head north to Birmingham for a genealogy workshop. It will be a long day.

A good day spent outdoors.

Dave, neat setup! Good Depth of Focus (DOF) and presentation!

Don, Interesting ICM subject!
Tulips are fun to photograph. So many varieties!

Had lunch today with a group of Mitchell High School grads from '61, me to '66. I had a Reuben.

Here is a tulip I did a little digital artwork on.

Rich, I would have guessed that was a painting of yours.  Is that a photo that you turned into a painting  or is that a digital painting I do love it.

Don,
That is a nice series of the little  colorful flowers that welcome us each spring. I especially like the last one and how the flowers fill the frame. The ICM is good too. For me, I have had trouble producing anything that I like enough to share though I do like the effect.

Dave, Early this morning I tried getting on line to start the daily but I just could not get into the website. Then I tried a few hours later and still could not. So, thanks for starting the daily, Dave. That is a great composition and nice texture and perspective.

Lorell, I think the server was having issues this morning. I could not get in either, and when I tried logging in to the provider, I couldn't get to their page either to open a problem ticket. Seems to be working OK now though.

I think I have about finished the revamp of my photo page. Nice, simple, clean interface. I'm going to try to keep the number of photos per category to below 30 or so rather than just loading every photo that I have. The old site had some photos that frankly weren't some of my best. Still have the same address though - https://www.donlwilliamsphotography.com . Using some free software for that, just like we are using free forum software here. Smile

Lorell, thanks! This is from a photo shot in Pella, Iowa at the annual tulip festival. I took it into software that you paint over it without adding color. You could do waterbased or oil. This is an oil. It was called Art Rage, here is a link.

Don, I like your new website. Clean, simple and easy to navigate. Excellent photos too!!

Nice group of florals, Don. My favs are #1 and #3.

As others noted, your website is simple, clean and - I think - elegant.

Your "little digital artwork" efforts turned out very good, Rich.

Thanks for the positive comments.
