Wow, Michael, it looks like you were walking around taking photographs in a really exclusive fashion district. You do not see many shopping districts like that anymore. The wee bit of architecture that we can see in the image (marble facings, ornate facades, etc.) looks like it was once a classy Avenue.
You were either up late or couldn’t sleep like me. I promise to post something when I return from my swim class in the morning. See you later. Lorell

Good morning Michael and Lorell. Your photos are making me want to go downtown to shoot some street scenes Michael. I have a few shots of 35mm left in one of my cameras, and once it warms up a bit I might just do that.
Yesterday was our 52nd anniversary so we went to Outback Steakhouse for a celebration dinner. Ran into some friends who were also there who were about to be seated and mentioned it was our anniversary. Later they stopped by our table to again congratulate us and left. As we were getting ready to pay, our server said "Someone has already picked up you tab". Turns out our friends treated us to our anniversary dinner. It's nice to have friends like that, thoughtful and generous. Made our day. Hope all have a good week. Nothing going on for me this week, but I will be driving up to Birmingham on Saturday for a Genealogy Workshop. About 3 hours each way driving time but should be an interesting day.

About an hour ago I composed a reply and was pretty sure I posted it, but I don't see it. Wondering if I goofed or if the site had a hiccup.
Trying again: Michael, that is a very fine and thought-provoking photo. Hi Lorell. Hi Don; 52 years! Congratulations to you and your better half. A stalwart tomato plant potted last year in the front yard has survived and is bearing fruit, despite months of neglect. I see 3 or 4 slightly smaller than average fruits plus a couple more much smaller ones. I don't remember what variety of seeds I sowed in the pot, but I'm hoping they were Black Krim. Here's one of the as yet unidentified tomatoes... Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him! Nikon D7500 with Nikkor 18-300 mm; PSE2021, PSCS5 Ny Flickr Albums

I think I may have to try some BLACK KRIM this year to see what all of the excitement is about.
In another month and a half, I will be looking at the prospects of planting another garden. I actually covered the plot last fall with a tarp, I hope that I did not deny the soil too much moisture and nutrients. Maybe some compost/manure will help the crop grow plentiful next year. I am not looking forward to turning over the soil or carrying the heavy bags of compost. It just ain't easy anymore. Dave, So you got a volunteer growing in your front yard. Only the strong survive. Keep us posted on the free fruit the little "Plant That Could" brings you. Don, Happy Anniversary. Wow, that was pretty nice of those folks to do that. The nice thing about that too is that they went home thinking about the looks on you faces when you discovered the nice surprise they left for you. There were two happy couples that left that restaurant that day. This month's local club challenge was Door Knobs, Locks, Chains, etc. So here is one that I am using for Thursday's meeting.

Black Krim are a very tasty tomato indeed. So too are Kumato if you can find seed. I collected mine from the tomatoes I bouught at the supermart.
Happiness simply is.
There need be no pursuit.

I do not know why my photo is cropped on the right hand side. I am on my IPad and part of the right side is cut off.
