Another winner there, Michael. Your composition draws the eye into the image, the blues work well with the brown and beige sections, and you had no trouble with the challenging lighting / values conditions.
Another shot of the same bee I posted yesterday, this time approaching the same flower on a return trip. I almost got the bee in sharp focus; unfortunately it's just a bit soft... Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him! Nikon D7500 with Nikkor 18-300 mm; PSE2021, PSCS5 Ny Flickr Albums

Thanks Dave.
Wonderful shot. You are pretty close to getting that bee sharp. Having that much bokeh is giving you a very slim margin of focus, I'd try stepping down just a bit. Gotta say, though, the yellow on the green is a favorite composition of mine. Well done!

Dave,
Have to say I prefer the Bee slightly soft as it gives the impression of movement. Too sharp could be static. I do like a bit of wing motion though and it almost appears to be in motion because of where the transparent wing is juxtaposed against the dark edge of the soft circle of confusion. Michael, You do that Leica proud. The light glinting off the wires in your B & W wet cobble stone shot that you posted on the weekend is Exceptional.

Two fun shots, Dave and Michael.
Michael, you got a lot of use from that bus. Was it on display someplace? I like this interior shot too as well as this past weekend's entry, which I posted a comment on last hour. Dave, A good action shot capture. I too like the movement. Speaking of movement. I was so far away from this shot, and wish I were closer. But the mom was the one who got to best perspective. She is taking this photo of her daughter amongst the birds and the SUN is doing down in the background behind the girl. Those pics had to have turned out great.

The tram or trolley car as Michael calls it. Why does it have the row of single seats when clearly it could have had a double row there? It is a great photo.
![]() This is a great bee/flower shot Dave. Prickly lettuce flowers? Yes Lorell, you should have sneaked around behind the dad for a different perspective.

Lorell,
Perfect timing. All the birds were in Perfect placement! As was the girls Arm Uplifted. All I have is Jack Frost on the window colourised.

It is a great photo. Thank you. The single row, as I have been told in the past, was so groceries and whatever sundries were being bought, could have room for the passengers. This was the only means of transportation for most in the 50's/early 60's. I don't know if this is really true or not, just what I have heard as a kid. On display at the Heinz Museum, Pittsburgh PA

My thanks to Michael, Grant, Lorell, and MFI for the comments and perspective of my latest bee shot.
Lorell, maybe you weren't in position for the shot you wanted, but you got a good one anyway. I agree with Grant's comments on it,and will add that you sure captured the mood of a sunset without even showing the sun. MFI, I don't know what the blossom is; I didn't plant it and if I don't dig up the invasive growth the city will order me to. Grant, another colorful, fractal-like image. Keep them coming. Yes if you don't stop them from making seed, you'll have weeds eight foot tall. However it is edible if not quite bitter.
