Post your other non-phtographic art here.
Thanks Grant.

Thanks Natalie,
I say YES, set up that camera on a tripod and get some bird photos! Start posting them, you may even find a few that would make a good painting. I don't do bird photos but love to paint them. I have a friend in Florida that was an art teacher at our high school. He is a fantastic bird photographer. I am painting his photo of a great blue Heron at the moment.

Good morning everyone. I've really been enjoying all the great art work in this thread. Lots of talent here in addition to the photography.

I was looking through some old art attempts of mine, trying to get inspired to pick up a brush or pen again and came across this one. I did this from a photo I took from a train window (Rocky Mountaineer) while traveling through Alaska a few years ago. We framed this one and put it on a wall as a memory of the trip.

Nice painting, Don. I believe I took the same photo when I was on a train in Alaska!! Beautiful memory......love how you did the clouds and the misty mountains!

Don,
Whimsical. The wet on wet mountains & clouds work well.

Not sure if I ever posted this....but I was viewing Don's foggy painting and I remembered when I tried to paint a foggy scene on the farm......a tractor was left out in the field with a wagon, and the next morning, very early I took a photo of a foggy scene  and then tried to paint the scene in watercolor....was not completely satisfied with it........

Greetings all.
Missed a notification of this one Natalie. I like the concept of it and looks like the tractor has good detail, and the photo needs to be lightened up a bit. I might make the "ghost trees" normal colors showing mist on them up a couple of inches leaving the rest of the BG alone.

Been a little slow in here. I saw Dave's Kingfisher in the daily so thought  I would post a painting i recently finished. Say hello to Kurt Kingfisher!

Thanks for the input, Rich! Oh, I really like this painting of the kingfisher!! I like how the sky fades away as it goes down.....makes the bird stand out. Well done!
