Saturday and Sunday Weekender, November 12 & 13, 2022

Good  Morning All,

Yesterday my daughter and I went to a quilt Expo.  We did not buy much but it was fun looking.
At least it inspired me to come home and get working on a quilt that I have been putting together for WAY TO LONG. I shall continue to work on it again today.  It is a rather overcast chilly morning.  A perfect day for staying inside and doing crafty things.  But first I shall put together some GRAPE LEAVES and slow-cook them on the stove.  They should be ready by game time Lions vs. DA BEARS!  The Lions have had such bad season, but it has been fun to watch them TRY TO WIN this year.

Here are a few photos that was much more ornate than the church we visited on Wednesday  This hallway connected the church offices to the main church and the morning light added so much drama to these three photos.  I will be using one or two for our club meeting this Thursday and as before, I wonder which would you suggest that I submit.

2) Star Burst on the LEFT
3) Star Burst on the RIGHT

Thank you and have a Blessed Sunday,
LORELL

Thanks for starting a weekend Daily for us, Lorell.

Very impressive church interior photos. You sure do well with dramatic contrasty interior lighting situations.

Last week during one of our rain days I got caught in moderate rain and as I was walking back home some very strong winds in my face. By the time I made it home I was soaked. Since then it feels like a cold is trying to establish itself. So far it hasn't progressed beyond a slight sore throat.

Anyway, for those having winter-like weather who could use something bright and colorful, here's an oldie (from January 2017) that I just reprocessed...

Now I'm gonna settle in to watch football, fortified with some hot tea and lemon/cranberry scones.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Hey, Dave. Thanks for the praise. Yes, winter is trying to get its foot on the door. Chilly and damp, yucky weather.

Thanks for trying to cheer me up with those rain drops on palm trees.

Has still been raining lots though sunny at the moment. We are 103.3mm above the previous record annual rainfall and there is still some year left.
Though the internet weather doesn't seem to remember the rainfall figures as far back as the fifties when we had record floods It does however remember 1974 as having 703.3mm

This weekend we had  70mm. Last week we had 115mm.

This is the wettest I've seen it since 1956.

Wet enough to derail a train.

Good evening all, thanks for starting the weekend Lorell. For a time I wasn't sure anyone was going to post this weekend.

I like the green of the image Dave. Can't go wrong with water droplets on something.

Looks like a nasty train wreck there Peter. Hope there were no serious injuries. We got a little over an inch of rain night before last as the cool front came through. Right now it is 47F here at home with a low into the 30's. It has been in the 70's during the day until today.

Lorell, I like all three images. I like the color in the sunburst of the middle image but I like the light and shadow on the floor of the third image. I think any of the 3 would be suitable for the camera club. Not much help, am I? After studying them all again, I might go with the first one. The receding hallway gives it some depth and the stark blue kind of balances the light on the right side of the hall.

Imagine wind that can snap concrete power poles.
