I guess folks have been busy dealing with real life things. Maybe the frigid wintry weather that hit the central Midwest of the US and probably even harder in central Canada.

Rich and Grant, I hope you got through it OK. And Lorell, you may get some of that today. Stay safe. everyone.

No new photos from me so I went back through my archives to January 2017 for this shot of a sky with interesting colors...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Dave, that is an awesome sky and good job capturing it! The trees really add to the photo!

Peter posted a wonderful photo of a flower and mural yesterday, both amazing!

Bad news for our town. We have been in a drought all summer so the corn crop produced a low yield and small ears. What that means is not enough corn for the Palace. The city decided not to decorate so the same murals will be on the building for 2023. This has happened twice before. Once during WW ll and 2006.

No winter weather here Dave, chilly but no flurries, except for a flurry of pheasants and out of state hunters. Our annual pheasant season opened last weekend, a big deal for the state. Here is a shot of our local sporting goods store, Cabela's, with an inflatable pheasant on the lawn.

That is a beautiful sky, Dave. Thanks for starting the daily.
I posted at Wednesdays thread too.

Rich, that is a big bird! (pheasant??)
I wonder if our cabelas has one out?
Well we don't have one, its in the next county over.

Walking along the creek and looked down at an erosion pool etched into the granite
and couldn't help but notice the odd leaf in the dark water.
I decided to post as is and not crop or anything.

It is a nice sky shot from Dave's archive.

Damar's lovely rock pool reminds me of many of my photos of such things. It is beautiful just as you captured it Patty.
That huge pheasant reminds me of some of Australia's big things, including our local girl's huge tennis racquet. A tribute to Evonne Goolagong Cawley.

Patty, yes pheasant.
That is really a great find, one colorful leaf among many others not so.

Peter, a fitting tribute to a super tennis player.
