October 2022 Challenge - A Single Item

Thank you, Lorell....it was a setting sun and I put Ms Pumpkin in a beam of light amid shadows.....no special lighting......Emma is a beautiful seamstress!! Love her outfit....you got talent everywhere!!
I have not gone off the farm for a week or so, so Ms Pumpkin just been roaming the yard with me.......guess this is an exercise in how to best shoot your pumpkin's portrait!  Hopefully we will venture out farther afield soon.

[Rich]

Michael, good idea with the Minion. That's what your previos photo showed in the hand.

Lorell, glad to meet Emma, this thread is going to be like a soap opera with a new photo every day.....almost! She is a beauty and quite the seamstress!

Natalie is having fun with the pumpkin, cool shots! I like them all but the last one "Pumpkin on the Rocks" with a daisy twist is my fav!

The wind has been blowing from the NW at 50 MPH the last couple of days so no outside shots for me.

[Adamphotoman]

Natalie, Michael, Lorell, I am missing all the fun.
I will use URK in some shots. He usually just sits around. As long as the dogs don't get him....

Natalie,
I like your recent addition and Rich's title for it. It is a simple subject and you already have gotten quite creative with it.

Grant,
I am not too sure about URK. He looks like he is a trouble maker. I cannot wait to see what he is going to get into.
I think we better keep him away from Emma though. He looks like HE IS ALL HANDS!

[Dreamin]

Thanks, Lorell and Rich! Rich, that IS a clever title for that shot of my pumpkin, thanks!!!

Grant, I agree with Lorell, URK is going to be trouble, for sure!! Can't wait!!

Meanwhile, we explored the barn a bit......

Rich, my daughter had the same assignment. I think it was called "where's Stanley?". I recall that she sent a copy the cut out to her uncle and Stanley was photographed at the dentist's office in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.  It was a fun assignment.

Yup,that ws it!

Grant, I agree with Lorell and Natalie, big time trouble!

Natalie, a good hiding spot for Peter Pumpkin!

I have an idea for something I will post later.

[Rich]

Well. here is the start of my travels. My wife bought this for me in a gift shop on one of our travels many years ago when I was lugging an SLR with an 80-210 zoom around on my neck.-
Sometimes you feel like a nut.

[Luv2shoot]

Looking forward to seeing where this sweet and cherished piece of memorabilia ends up.  Glad that you joined us, Rich.

Natalie, once again your lighting added great mood and interest to your pumpkin's composition.  It is kind of spooky.

So, here is Emma tickling the ivories.  Because of her short fingers, she is not very good but I give her credit for trying.

[Rich]

Thanks Lorell, I would love to hear Emma play! Very good photos and setups! The second one has awesome lighting and exposure! I have to mention the I have the same angel in my home as you do that is sitting on your piano!

[Dreamin]

That's a cute little nut, Rich!  can't wait to see what you do with it!!
Lorell, that first one is spooky!! Love it! I agree with Rich, the second one has good lighting!! She looks likeshe is singing, too!
Well Peter Pumpkin was playing in the mulch yesterday!
