Went with a group yesterday for a late afternoon/evening walk about down town. My last photo of the night.

Thanks for starting the Daily, Don.

These sorts of scenes with their challenging lighting have always been hard for me to pull off, but clearly not for you.

All I have is another pano shot from last weekend's air show...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Nice start to Tuesday's daily, fellas.
Looks like you had a nice opportunity to advantage of the pretty lights reflecting off the water.  The LONG reflections is sure a cool effect, Don.

Dave, I really like the wide narrow format you used to emphasize the subject.  It really works well.

Well, it is a pretty fall day here and leaves are starting to gently fall to the ground. Still to early to take the camera for a walk, but may have better luck this weekend when DD and I travel up north to close up our trailer for the season.  I think the colors may be perfect.

Good afternoon Dave and Lorell - Hope your weather is as nice as ours has been. It was a bit chilly and breezy this morning for a bike ride, but I braved the mid 50's weather and rode down to replenish our stock of fried salted Georgia peanuts. Also brought home some vine ripened tomatoes as well. Put a little over 150 miles on the motorcycle. While I was there I noticed they had several rows of flowers out back, including a row of sunflowers. These shots were with my phone.

I am posting a couple more shots from the photo walk last night as well. For the B&W shot I liked the shadows, texture and angles.

Only 4 weeks until the GNPA Smokies photo weekend. Looking forward to that, as I do every year.

Don, those starbursts sure make that shot beautiful.....A lot of things to look at, Good on you for spotting it! I'm surprised your sunflowers are still in bloom! Everything around here has finished, they sure are pretty!! Black and white is the way to go with your landscape shot, lots of angles and interest in the shades of grey.....Squirrelly is cute!! so cute! Even if I hate them. Tearing up a lot of stuff around here, even ate the fuel line on my mower.....tree rats! but I cannot shoot them....too cute.
Dave, I like this pano shot of the planes....nice framing and the long shot shows them off nicely!!
Lorell, I hope you get some color in your forests....if we don't get an early frost, things just turn brown around here. But right now, all is still green. Your rose of sharon? shot is attractive, love the bokeh and the focus!!

Nothing from me....windy and rainy for the past 4 days....not a lot of rain, but just enough to make it nasty..........been cleaning and vacuuming....had to turn on the furnace and with 3 cats and a long haired dog, had to limit the amount of fur that will fly with the hot air furnace.....

Windy and raining here too. Looks like hanging around four days as well.

Saw this and thought that artists may appreciate it.

Peter, things like that amaze me. I am in awe!

Don, sounds like you had a nice ride. Love the squirrel shot. The sunflowers make me happy.

Good morning Wednesday... I realized I didn't comment on yesterday's images. I too like the pano shot of the 2 planes, Dave. I really suggests motion.

Nice, kind of low key image of the flowers there Lorell. Is it a sad time when you have to close the trailer? We are still waiting on ours to be repaired and I am concerned that I am going to have to pay the repair facility to winterize it before it gets repaired.

Natalie, I agree about the tree rats. I have a pellet pistol that I use to scare them away from the bird feeders sometimes. Doesn't kill them, just stings. Does no good though as they always return.

Interesting video Peter - hard to see how that process works. Looks "easy" but I'll bet it isn't.

I'm sure I can't do it but maybe it is easier once one learns the tricks.
