Thought I'd drop in and ask if y'all had seen these.

They are more dedicated photographers than I am. Lying in wait in a snowed in hide, doesn't sound comfortable.
Haven't done much lately. Too cloudy for good photos.
Grey days..

Wow Peter, Looks very subtle. You could separate the blooms from the background, desaturate the background and
include it in this month's challenge.

Very nice floral, Peter. Also nice soft and sharp contrast.
Some great shots on Friday....
Dave, love your sky, I like the one in color best!
Lorell, I like your pine cone, and I agree with Rich, the ones in the back are a tad too bright, distract from the main one! Maybe lighten the main one some, too.
Rich, I have seen many of those huge roosters this year and last year....I have admired them....Cute capture!!
Peter, interesting flowers, good bokeh. did you do color selection? Did you also put it in September challenge? It's a great candidate!
Well, my electric company spent many months installing new poles and then running a new fiber optic line along them. I put in my order for broadband....two weeks ago they trenched a fiber optic cable to my house (free installation to the first who apply, later it will cost $150 + for the trenching) and then yesterday they came out and put the broadband box in my house!! So now I can play around and not have slow internet! I also bought a Roku Ultra LT so I can stream stuff..(I don't have a smart tv, but there are streaming devices out there to make my old tv smarter...ha ha ha ) ..a LOT of free stuff I can stream!! I'm excited!! It's a whole new learning experience, this streaming!! But because a lot is "on demand" I am not tied to what Directv offers. I disconnected my land line phones and my AT&T mobil hotspot. I am disconnecting Directv......I was paying way too much for the few channels I was watching!! I feel I am getting too old to try to keep up with this modern technology, but I'm working on it!!
Yes, Peter.I saw those images, spectacular.....I'm too old to do anything like sitting in a hide for hours....

Natalie,
I think you'll really like streaming. We also got rid of our land line and cable tv service. We have several Fire sticks which are similar to Roku. They basically take your internet signal from your router without a wire to your tv and attaches via HDMI . Lots of choices including live tv. You still can spend too much but can choose more options. We use DirectTV Stream. So easy to record shows for later too.

Yes. I will admit that I was inspired to play by the September challenge but it is at least 25 years since I had access to PS. I've never been all that good at being able to separate the flowers from the background. Was only getting started when I moved away from a computer with PS on it.
Could do with some tutorials but my Photo software is limited. This was done in in a product known as
Acorn. It is for the Mac.
The plant is known as Stypandra glauca.
The original.
The process along the way.
