Might as well start the new Daily before I try to get a few hours of sleep.

Wednesday brought a mix of weather conditions here: strong sun and uncomfortable temps early, fat drops of rain for a minute or two in the afternoon, then cloudless skies and an intense sun at sunset.

On my morning walk around 8:45, the sun created strong contrast - not ideal for taking photos. But it also intensified colors, as the vivid blue patch on this fence lizard shows...

Dave, hope you are getting some sleep! Good sharp focus on this one! On my monitor the eye is super sharp! I like the diagonal presentation too!

Hi Peter!

I had a disappointing Monday. My grand nephew was in town for a kids tractor pull competition. The kids use a pedal tractor and quite a contraption for pulling. Anyway, he is twelve and they go by age groups starting at the five year old's. My niece wanted me to take a video of it. I spent two hours there and the pull lasted all of 5 seconds. Unfortunately my camera decided not to focus so I got nothing. I need to check the manual and see if I can adjust to manual focus for video.

Here is something from the way back machine. A trip to Iowa for the Glenn Miller festival in his hometown, circa 2003. This courthouse reminded me of the one in the Back to the Future movie.

Good morning Dave, Peter and Rich. Yeah, Dave, that blue kind of pops, doesn't it?

Nice old building Rich, reminds me of many that I see when riding through small towns here in the south.

Really nice ride today - did some riding on gravel/dirt roads and the new tires felt pretty good. Nice and smooth on the black top as well. I think I am going to like them a lot.
