Patty, you just beat me to it by 10 minutes!
That is a beautiful calm lake, Patty.  It looks very refreshing. Those are some awesome clouds too.  That is the place to be with all of these steamy temps that we are experiencing this summer.

I would have gotten here sooner but I had to finish peeling and cutting up a potato to boil so that I could add it to some corned beef and make eggs and corned beef hash this morning for breakfast.

I woke up and at 4 am, all excited about picking up my new used car today.  I found the manual online and started reading it.  I wanted to make sure I was familiar with the necessary items on the dashboard, steering wheel, instrument panel, etc.,  in case I needed to turn on lights or wipers, or whatever.  This car has everything and after reading the manual for 30 minutes, I have decided that this car has way too many options.  I am not letting the cat out of the bag yet, but hope to photograph it when I get home to show you.  But for now, it is white and has four wheels, and that is all that I am sharing for now.

Here is a photo from the last visit to the Detroit Zoo with my club members.

Good going on the car….if it’s a computer on 4 wheels it may be a BMW! LOL.
Your gorilla portrait is excellent! What a great capture!

Mmmm CBH!

I am going to chop some of my green peppers this morning so I have some in the freezer that I can use in recipes. Nothing is ripening at the same time. I had Cukes and no tomatoes or green peppers yet.
Now the peppers are ready and the Slow Marzanos are not….they are soooo slow to ripen.

Almost forgot the Triumph. This was parked inside the Vintage Car museum
with no date or info posted like all of the other displays so it may have been a new addition.
They could just bring it to my house and leave it in my driveway though!

I'm not sure what what year, but it may be a Bonneville T120

Good Monday morning,

Patty, A great spot for those hot summer days. Nice bike, too. My garden is doing fine also. I have been picking little cucumbers for a while and my string beans are getting longer every day. I see a tomato ripening and my peppers are a ways from picking but should be many.

Lorell, good fortune with your new car. it will be good to have it home.

I took a few photos of a friend that has a lavender farm nearby. With a she-shed too. Here's Alicia and a few shots.

Hi Quint! Those are some beautiful photos!
Lavender is so pretty! Your friends shed is very cool!
I planted some lavender this year, it is thickening up but a bit short on flowers.
May need a boost of composted manure.
My front yard is a bit short on sunlight so that may have something to do with it.

Quite the variety of subjects in the photos above: all are very good images.

damar. on a hot day jumping in that water would be irrestible. Cool cycle too.

Lorell, what a grand portrait of that dignified person!

Quint, those are exceptional: color, values, exposure, sharpness - it's all good.

Nothing new from me, but I did re-process again an old (20-25 years ago) of a storm retreating north from the local wetlands...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Thanks Dave.
That is quite a dramatic cloud bank. Was this originally film?
early Digital?
Your processing looks good!

This is Yonah Dam..where the Tugaloo and Toccoa River converge.
We were up there Saturday

Greetings all. Made it back from the Black Hills yesterday. I had a good Birthday weekend with daughter and family. Plated 9 holes of golf at the Sturgis GC in Bolder Canyon. A nice course. Good food and good times.

Many superior photos last weekend. Even a puzzle by Michael, "Which way is up!"

The AI video of Bob Ross was pretty "Cool Man!" Bob Ross is the one who got me started in the painting scene. I took a one day work shop on his style and took off!

I posted a watercolor in the other art forum if you're interested.

Going to be a hot week and we have the Pre Sturgis party Thursday evening on Main. Depending on how hot it is I will try to get some photos and maybe a video to post.

Patty,
A nice looking lake, A beautiful blue sky day with puffy clouds. Back in the B&W days I loved this kind of a day to shoot with a red or yellow filter to make the sky pop!

A beautiful bike with a Denver Bronco's colored gas tank.

Yonah Dam is an amazing location. Looks like total wilderness!

Lorell, WOW! What a grump! Looks like a toothpick in his hands. I really like this!

Steve, awesome photo shoot! I bet she loves them! Good photoshop work on the framing. Looks like a fun farm to visit!

Dave, some spectacular storm clouds, awesome!

Thanks, Patty. We got some lavender cleaned and ready for use in foods like seasoning. Will try some soon.

Dave, it was a fun shoot with a good model. Your clouds and water mix is quite dramatic. I like the color tone too.

Rich, I'll check out your watercolor. I made some cards up of her business and will print some up for her. Good advertising.

Thanks damar, Rich and Quint.

damar, I got interested in photography late; the earliest digital cameras had come out and this photo was taken with a Panasonic model that was among the first to use a memory card. Pretty low resolution by today's standard but a huge leap from the Mavica which saved on a 3.5 inch floppy.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!
