Happy Wednesday, all!  Try to stay cool! It's only going to get worse as the week goes along!
This Yellow Garden Spider found a shady spot to build her web......I usually see so many around the farm, this year, not so many.....

Excellent shot of the spider, Natalie. The light green looks great against the burnt orange.

Here's the shot I mentioned a few days ago of the Black Krim tomatoes (one over-ripe and the other showing clear signs of over-watering) before I sliced them...

I'm working on artistic versions; hope to have at least one ready to post tomorrow.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Good morning Natalie, Dave and others.
Natalie, this is spider time. My buildings and deck are loaded with webs. Time to get the brush and power washer out.
Dave, they struggled but at least you have ripe fruit. Still waiting here but it's early yet.

Natalie, WoW, looks huge! Good one! Nice background!

Dave, tomato looks delish! Good lighting!

Greetings Steve!

Here is a nice BD card! A church friend, she lives on a busy street so everyone knows how old she is now! She loved it!

Thanks Quint, Rich, and Natalie.

Quint, I am running out of time, but may give it another try by resowing seeds in pots.

Rich, It's heart-warming to see this example of a close, caring community. Maybe there is hope for this country after all.

Natalie, I should have said "painterly" instead of "artistic" - meaning an image simulating various artistic media such as oils, watercolors, pastels, etc.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

That is a beautiful spider photo, Natalie! Up close and sharp. The colors are great too.

Dave your tomato photo looks like a painting! Just perfect. If the actual tomatoes fell a bit short of garden glory, they made up for it with this photo.
Very nice work.

Well Congrats to Miss Sheila! Great photo Rich!

Yesterday, I canned 12 pints of Kosher Dill pickle slices.
I had way more than we could eat. It was more work that I would have liked.

Can't see all the jars in the photo.
8 wide mouth pints and 4 regular mouth pints.
It's been almost 24 hours so now I'll take the rings off the jars and put a few in the fridge.

Patty, your dill pickles look great! I made bread and butter pickles last year, and I'm the only one who ate any.....made 16 pints, ate 4......way too much work for how many I eat.....I do cut up cucumbers and onions and put in quart jar with vinegar, sugar and salt....after several hours in fridge, ready to eat....my son and I love them that way, and so easy to fix....

Natalie: My son suggested that I make refrigerator pickles like you described, but I just had too many cucumbers.
I bought 2 containers but there were about 5 sprouts in each container. I should have culled it down to just a few.
The vines are growing out into the lawn because the hog wire fence is full of vines.
Next year? I'll just plant one!
