Dave, thanks for the nice comment. It is a glorious place to be especially on the morning like this. My daughter lives just up the street.
Rich, there are many areas for clamming near us here and many varieties of clams. You do need a shellfish license and there are various limits for specific clams. The smaller one here is a Butter or Martha Washington clam. Limit 20. The larger is a Pacific Gaper. Limit 12. All good eats.
Natalie, hope you get to get some clams. I don't use a boat for clamming since they are readily available from shore.
Don, interesting bug on the flower. That pond gives a great reflection and the various shades of green with a colorful red in the center.

Hi Rich!
Kippes Bay looks like a nice place to drop anchor and toss out a line!
Very pretty lake photo! Love the sky!

Hi Steve!
Wow! A whole different region! Mountains and tide water.
Something most of us don't see every day. Looks like a beautiful place!

Wildflowers and weeds…Natalie, that would be my plight too. The bane of our little patch is
Nutsedge (aka “sedge”) and this other deep root weed that I can’t name right now..well, I could but
this is a polite forum!

Dave, I am so inspired by the color of your succulent blossoms!
My DD did a tie dye demo while were in Florida so when I try my first tie dye T-Shirt, I am going to use those 2 colors
(Vibrant, deep yellow and pink)
Really pretty photo and composition

Well there you are Don!
Your Flower & Fly capture is perfect! I do like radials in a composition.
Nice colors!

Pretty lake. That one reddish tree pulls you right in.

Beautiful moss, Patty. We used some for decorating horse show grounds near Ocala, Florida.

Thanks Natalie, no, not enough room. There is a camp ground on the lake probably 2 miles by road 1/2 mile by boat.

Dave, beautiful! Nature is amazing! Sharp focus on the dominant blossom.

Don, good close up on the flower and fly!
Now that is a mirror finish on the lake! Nearly impossible to have here! Amazing!

Thanks Patty! I have fished there a few times!
What a pretty scene with all the moss on the stately trees!
Focus on what brings you joy! ~Unknown~

Thanks for the comments everyone.
We always park under the live oak with the spanish moss and it gets tangled in comm utilities on the
topside of the RV and typically makes the trip all the way back home.

Rich, I often wish we had a lot on a lake where we could park the RV and just hang out.
I have never lived this far inland.

Natalie,
The Tampa area is nice but boy has FL grown since the 70s.

I can only imagine, Patty. My husband and I graduated from USF, and we went back to visit in the mid 80's, but have not been back since. It was crowded and busy back then, and it must be awfully crowded now.....and like you said, it rained almost every afternoon....I really don't want to live there again.....give me the country, anytime! I might not have chosen Maryland, humid, bugs, low land.....but family is here, and that means a lot to me.

Love that Spanish Moss!

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!
