Patty....Lovely water scene.....looks like the palm is leaning in to pose for you...LOL!
Here's one more wildflower from my field......will have to go get more after this one.....it's a poppy, similar to Dave's poppys....

Thanks Natalie!
Those are beautiful poppies! Did you seed the field with a wildflower mix? or did they just come up on their own?
I bought poppy seeds once and found out they will not come up the first season, so I never planted them.
(I have limited sunlight in most areas where I would have to plant them)

I like your framing around the photos. it gives them a nice gallery look.

Good day all!
A good day for sure as we finally got our tarmac resurfaced after a three year wait (struggle) to get it scheduled.

By the looks of the palm tree Patty, I am guessing the prevailing winds  had an affect on the growth pattern!
Lovely photo with super reflections.

Natalie, good looking presentation! Second one is a winner! It has everything going for it, sharpness, composition, good DOF, eye catching colors and tiny water droplets!

Here is another shot of our lake. A drive up fishing area. On the left is what used to be the YMCA day camp with over night facilities, large kitchen and rec area. City owns it now. Large groups can rent it for family reunions or other events. We rented it several years ago for a HS Class Reunion.
It is called Kippes Bay and is a good pan fishing bay.

Hi Patty and Natalie,

Nice looking and calm waters with your Florida scene. I like that palm tree's posture.

Lovely orange poppy and well presented. Our Butterfly bushes are blooming now and are adding another layer of color to the yard.

Yesterday was a good clamming day with good minus tides and perfect weather. I took this shot as I stepped out of my truck. I was soon among the dwellers of the deep and here are a few examples.

Steve, what a fantastic place to go out to and dig up supper! Do you need a license to harvest them and is there a daily limit?
What name is given to the clam? It looks like a big one.

Thank you for the comments on my poppy. We had an area tilled up, maybe 200 ft by 50 ft and scattered a bag of wildflower seeds in April. Unfortunately, weeds are also there....I have tried to cut some down, as they are 4 feet tall! and the wildflowers are all less than a foot tall.. weeds are velvet leaf and pig weed.
Rich, what a great place for a family reunion. Can they camp there? What fun that would be!! Lovely image!
Steve, what a great place to clam!! What a view!! And look at those clams! I wish I still had my boat, I could do with some clam chowder right now!! Will have to get my brother to take me....but he had both knees replaced a couple years ago...clamming might be too hard for him, now...we have to wade in some muddy areas!!

Beautiful calming photo, damar. And the extreme angle adds a bit of energy to an already fine image.

Natalie, I agree with damar - your presentation makes good photos even better.

Hi Rich. More blue skies, white clouds, and this time a bit of sand. Perfect.

Quint, what a marvelous expanse to your first photo; great composition, and the two figures anchor it all. WOW! That one appears huge!

Like Natalie, I am posting the last photo from a successful photo shoot. And this is my favorite of the shots I've posted this week. These succulent blossoms are tiny: none exceed 1 inch across, and most are 1/2 to 3/4 inch.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Good afternoon all.

Nice, tranquil scene Patty to start the daily.

Striking orange Natalie!

And more nice water scapes... i'll add one as well.

Nice little blossoms Dave, I like the pink and orange.

I actually went out to shoot some this morning. Some digital and some film. I shot 6 sheets of 4x5 in both my pinhole and my pressman. I know I screwed up at least on sheet because I forgot to stop the lens down after focusing on the Pressman. I might try to develop the 4x5 this afternoon. I shot some 120 film as well but did not complete the roll.

Anyway, here are a couple of shots from this morning. Didn't get many that were even close to being keepers. I'm keeping with the orange/yellow flower theme and lake/water theme. Just luck.
