Good Monday Morning Foto Friends and welcome to the new week.
Ah, it feels great to be retired again.  (referring to my editing job from the last three weeks).
It actually does feel like that.

Yesterday I was able to create a new artistic rendition for a FLICKR group called Sunday Sliders.  Using the sliders to the max in your editing software is highly encouraged for this group. This damsel fly was NOT in distress as it rested on the cattail reeds around the pond up north by our trailer.

Today it is going up to 90.  I need to do a little shopping and will be heading out as soon as I post this.
Have a great day and stay cool, comfortable, and relaxed.

Thanks for starting the Daily, Lorell.

That's an eye-dazzling image, pushing the envelope quite far. Very nice.

It'll get up to around 80 here today, and quite humid compared to our norms until the morning haze burns off; but not close to the temps and humidity in your area.

Today I plan to rest up and hope my very sore back recovers from finishing the install of a new mailbox yesterday. That took several days of pounding a supporting metal stake into some hard clay soil, assembling and securing the long vertical and short horizontal 4x4s, installing a base mounting plate and trying to mount the new mailbox, finding that the horizontal 4x4 supporting the mailbox was too long. Anyway, I got it done. It isn't perfectly vertical; part of that was intentional to allow for drainage of any water that gets inside, but it's a bit too far off vertical so I may try to fix that.

Over the past 5 days I got a few decent photos and will dole them put one day at a time, starting with red roses to complement your green image...

Wishing you all a good week.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Hello Monday, all!!
Lorell, interesting treatment....Tell us more about the Flickr group,
Dave, another colorful rose....
Hi, Grant!
I have some wildflowers in the field that my daughter planted, well, scattered seeds. I was surprised at all that came up.....So I took some photos. I will do as Dave is doing, dole them out one at a time!
Orange cosmos, I believe....

Hi Grant, and thanks. I agree that the yellow areas are the best part of the photo. Regarding my every day back pain, it's something I've learned to accept and get used to. As they say, getting old ain't for sissies; something that most young folks don't realize, but someday they will.

I just finished firing up the chain saw to cut down the remnants of a long-gone small ornamental cherry tree; (I was using the branching limbs to support our old mailbox.) First time I've used a chainsaw and I managed to get the job done without injury.

Beautiful orange against green, Natalie. I'm eager to see the rest.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Dave, don’t think you shared one like that with us earlier. This is pretty dramatic especially with the beautiful yellow center.

Dave, I thought you were going to take it easy for the rest of the day. Take care of your body and it will take care of you. I am glad that you succeeded in sawing down the cherry tree without losing a limb, I was already feeling bad enough about your back.

Natalie, seeing what wild flowers pop up has to be fun since you do not know what is coming next. You have a gorgeous image there and nice shadows considering the direct sun shining on that pretty orange
Flower.

Regarding the FLICKR group, Narptalid, It is called SLIDER SUNDAY (SS) You can only post your creations on Sunday. Take any image and process it to the max if you like or just a little. All of you know how much I love to transform my photo and Equally enjoy viewing what others do to theirs.

Thanks Grant for the comment about my damsel fly. The thing that iI like most about at and what the maniphrlp accentuate was all the triangles in the composition. I think I may go count them.
