Thanks for starting the Daily, damar. I look forward to seeing whatever photo(s) you post.

Meanwhile, here's another shot of the one sunflower that has blossomed so far. It took some maneuvering to find an angle with no unwanted lines or objects (I temporarily removed some of the bamboo stakes that would have cluttered up the background.) I think getting some soft green in frame helps the photo...

Hi and happy Hump Day to all.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Well Dave, your efforts paid off in such a well framed and beautiful composition.
Great focus and depth of field! I've never seen sunflowers of that color combination.
They are really pretty and you captured it nicely.
It's frame-worthy.

Nothing great here: I took out my Nikon and my Nikon 300mm prime.
(I was hoping for some bird shots but they were quiet yesterday)

I have a few from Sunday that I need to resize

Well composed sunflower, Dave. Yes, I agree, the soft greens do make for an attractive background.
Patty, your little mushroom cap is cute, and I like all the glittering water droplets!  Nice one!  Interesting B&W. Anyone you know on the scooter?
Well, I planted a little cuke and when I put them outside in the spring they almost completely died but today I found one little cuke out there. I thought it was the same as Dave mentioned a while ago (lemon or something?) but I looked up the seed packet and it's called Dragon's Egg. LOL! Its a sweet little cuke, and it's supposed not to get bitter....but the plant does not look like it's going to produce much. Here it is  next to one of my straight eights.....looks like I'm going to have a slew of straight eights. LOL!! Now if only I had some vine ripened tomatoes to go with them. Tomatoes are still a week or two  away from ripening. Gonna google reicipes for cukes and for zucchini...  happy problems, those I like!!

Ah, thats a cute little cuke, Natalie!
My mom used to make a cold salad with sliced cucumbers, thinly sliced onion, enough vinegar to almost cover and maybe a dash of sugar.
Make ahead of time and chill.
I planted pickling cucumbers and the plants are covered with blossoms so I'm looking every day for signs of fruit.
I should not have planted them so near the pepper plants...they may strangle the peppers!

Man on scooter is just a street shot. We were crossing at the intersection right behind him.
I liked how he appeared to "own the road"!

Patty, that's almost what I have in the fridge right now...In a jar, slice cukes, sliced onion, little sugar and salt and vinegar.....I love it. I also have a salad marinating, store bought tomato, cuke and onions in a little oil and salt and pepper. I also like a cucumber sandwich: slice cukes with ranch dressing.....

Yes, that guy does appear to own the road!!

That's a fun photo, damar. Nice to know that I'm not the only one who does "wet belly" photography.

Your scooter photo engages the viewers' eyes and mind, making us wonder about the person and how he ended up needing the scooter. Pretty powerful image.

Thanks for your comments on my sunflower shot.

Natalie, thank you too. Your Mom's cold salad sounds delicious; my Mom used to make one very similar.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Hi Grant!
Those are pretty! Is that a ground cover?
I bet you are happy to be in the summer months again!

Thanks Dave,
I hope that man doesnt always scooter down the middle of the road. It was Sunday so there wasnt much traffic except for the car coming towards him. He was a senior and probably not able to walk far. Bless his heart.

This is a (small) Big Bertha green bell pepper.
