Welcome to the weekend. I hope it will be a good one for you all.

This photo is, IMO, a better one than what I used to start yesterday's Daily...

Beautiful Dave,
You are the master!

Hi Grant!

We had our annual Heart and Sole Cancer walk and run last evening. Shown are the white bags for Cancer Memorial and Honor luminaries. These cost $5 each.
All the money raised stays local and helps local cancer patients with various expenses. There are many business in town that give quite a bit of money too. This year probably gas for travel to medical appointments.

Hello everyone. DD and I are back from up north.  It was a rather stress full week, but we made it.
We came home on Saturday because the traffic is much lighter and tomorrow is father's day.  I got home and crashed for two hours.  I guess I needed the rest.

I did not do much with my camera except mess up its controls.  I got to figure out how to get things back to the original factory settings.  Things are so out of whack.

Dave, Lovely spotlight on the blooms.  I like the little yellow poking through.

Hello, Grant.

Rich, I wonder how many bags were lit.  That is really nice.  Looks like loads of people in the distance.

I shall have to check if there is anything I can add to this weekend thread.

I think one of the last photos that I posted was the "TOO MANY ON THE ICE", the one with the layered hockey players.

Well, I also created a second one to satisfy the LAYERED Challenge for this last week's local  club meeting that I missed.

I took this one at home.

Lorell,
Great idea and well executed! Good job!

Thanks Michael, my Dad's name was Leo. NY is a long way from South Carolina! Interesting sign, wonder how long you could stand before the police showed up?

Lorell, the people in the distance are around all the action at the bandstand and sponsors tents. Helps to have the food and drink there too! All the blue t-shirts are from sponsors. They all get them free and hand out to friends and family.

I went fishing with my older brother.....too windy to take the boat out so we fished on a bank of the river......3 catfish, 3 perch, an eel, a skate and a terrapin.....We were hoping for striped bass ( rockfish) but it wasn't about the fishing....as one knows, it was about spending time with my brother.....We also saw a fox and a couple of hawks....the fox ran away before I could get a good shot. The hawks had captured something, but because we stopped, they dropped their dinner....ooops.

Natalie, sounds like a sucessful trip.
Good candid shots.  Do you go back and clean and cook the fish.
You and I were thinking alike again.  See my photo below that I took on Anna Maria Island but was saving it for father's day.

Michael, thank you much.

Rich, Thank you too.  It is nice to have those T-shirts, a little something for donating your time and money. We need to thank the sponsors for this.

Well, here is a little something in honor of father's day.  The grin on the son's face says it all.

Thanks Grant, Rich, Lorell, and Michael.

Great photos in this weekend Daily...

Rich, more impressive photos of your immaculate and civic-minded city.

Lorell, as Rich noted, a good concept and even better execution.

Excellent urban shot, Michael. Nice to see a small family business (I assume) instead of another corporate chain.

Glad you had a good outing, Natalie. That fox was really moving fast, and the hawk shots are top-notch.

Lorell, that's a wonderfully composed photo with an excellent treatment.

No new photos from me today.

I saw a interesting recipe in today's paper for spicy grilled corn. I'll adjust it from grilled to a combination of stove-top and baked. It starts with corn, diced jalapenos, and various spices. I think Ill add diced ham and additional spices. With any luck I might even get a post-worthy photo out of my efforts

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!
