June 2022Monthly Challenge, Something Older.
#31
Wow, Grant, I like the register. That does date the house, 110 years old. Had the water pipes and heating all been redone?

Peter, this would be a good one for Rusty topic too.
" double mulboard", got to look that one up.

Rusty is also old? This used to be a nut and bolt.

Lorell, Some remnants have been renovated out but for the most part the infrastructure is modern. The previous owner was here for 51 years. they jack hammered out the basement floor dug out and replaced all the plumbing right out to the street.they added crushed gravel for drainage. Knob and Tube upgraded. New central air. We added AC. The list is too long to list it all.

Love the Rusty Nut and bolt. The auto shots are incredible. The building side and sewing machine are both moody in starkly differing ways. I collect watches, so, love the Rolex, along with the old articles. But the trunks and tea set...I want those!

Pin from the 1970's. Hialeah Park down in Fla.. I don't know if it still there anymore, but I remember getting this. Just adds to my love of flamingos.

Michael, cool camera in the background. Do you have photos of LIVE flamingoes?

Tell me about your watch collection. Any photos?

Don...Great shot, evokes a sadness in me.

No, I am not a member of the NAWCC. Nothing extraordinary in my collection, though. Old Breitling Aviator, Few Victornox's. Pride and joy is a Patek Philippe Calatrava. From 1957. My brother in Law gave me that one. I tend to spend my money on cameras and lenses. My wife locked that away. I'm not allowed to wear it. Next time she is out I'll ask here to swing by and get it.

Yes, I have pictures of real flamingos. Probably on the same drive as the watch pic. I'll look for them Sunday.

I've got thousands of watched but no Patek Philippes. All of my watches put together could not pay for one Patek.
