Let's start the day with some color - taken last week at Circle Bar B Reserve near Lakeland, Florida.
St. Patricks Day today - yesterday, against my better judgement, I purchased a 4 pack of Guiness in cans. I once tried Guiness in a bottle and was sorely disappointed, but I figured in honor of St. Paddy's day and my Irish ancestors I would try it. Nope... not anything like on tap. My favorite stout right now is Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro, which I believe is brewed in Colorado. It is by far the best I have tasted and I am lucky enough to have found it locally. It is good in a can too! I first discovered it in a little pizza joint in Moose, WY when we were camping in the Grand Teton's last year.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all who will celebrate it.
Beautiful photo, Don.
I agree with you about Guinness in cans. I'll look for Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro. Another option would be to add green food coloring to whatever beer I have. Option #3 (and not the preferred one) is to drink so much beer than I turn green with nausea.
Sorry I have no photos that fit the holiday. So here's another shot of the moody morning sky a couple of weeks ago...
Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Morning,
I also have some Irish blood in me. But not enough to be able to drink a Guinness. Don't get me wrong, I do like it, but even 1 pint and I get a fare up of Gout. Now that rhymes with Stout so at least it is easy to remember. I can drink spirits though so it is Jameson's for me. Now the pain of a severe Gout attack IS enough to turn anyone Green.
I should have learned by now to not drink Guiness unless it is on tap. But I have had good luck with Left Hand Stout and McCaffrey's and Boddington in a can so I figured to give Guiness a try. Only once though.
Grant, if you are a fan of Irish Whiskey, you might give Red Breast a try. To my taste it is better than Jameson's or Busmill's although a tad more pricey. I'm actually having a wee dram right now, first in quite a long time. I stock 3 or 4 different scotch whisky brands but only on Irish. The different scotches depend on whether I want it really peaty eg: Laphroaig or less peaty eg: Lagavulan. I've got a couple more but those are my go to scotch drinks. Although I have to say that since I started WW I seldom drink much at all so what I have on hand will likely last the rest of my life. My taste in beer runs to darker, although I do sometimes have a Scoflaw brewing Basement IPA. Stumbled across that one on a visit to Savannah Georgia a while back. I can't stomach most "famous label" domestic beer (Bud, etc.) and will never, ever, drink a "light" beer. OK, enough booze talk.
I'm looking outside at 80F weather and thinking I should be riding my motorcycle, which was my plan for this afternoon. But sipping on whiskey, I won't ride even a short one.
We had a fair amount of activity yesterday but it has tapered off again.

Don, A friend of mine decided it was time to stop riding his bike. A wise man told him "better a day too soon than a day too late'
But I am glad you won't drink even a drop and drive!!!
