Good morning everyone. I remembered to change clocks last night! Did you (for those that have DST)?
Cold here this morning, right now at 27F. I put an electric heater in the camping trailer and poured antifreeze in the drains. I had already blown out the water lines with air. Hope this is the last really cold snap for us. In a few weeks I will need to sanitize the fresh water system and probably grease the wheel bearings in preparation for our trip in May to Ohio. The state park where we are staying has electricity but not water so we will use the on board water for showers. We will use bottled water to drink and cook with though.
Yesterday was our 51st wedding anniversary - but after the "big one" last year this one was very low key. We figured we celebrated last week with several really good anniversary meals while in Florida. Lots of good seafood and even went to a Greek restaurant one night. So last night we had BLTs for dinner.
Here are a couple of colorful shots from last week. I developed 4 sheets of 4x5 yesterday taken with the pinhole camera. Had some issues with the developing tank though and one sheet did not get developed well. I will post later,

Immortalized forever
With silver and light"
Here area couple of shots with the 6x5 pinhole camera. As mentioned, had some issues with the development tank but I have been working on it and hope I have that issue solved. Need to take some more photos and make sure.

Good morning Don and all who venture into Sunday's thread as the day progresses.
I need to go grocery shopping, but right now the wind is blowing the a heavy downfall of snow horizontally as I look out into my backyard. It is only 22 degrees out there but somehow it is going to get up to 40 today. And tomorrow is going to be 51 degrees. Hurray, Yippee, all this snow will melt and we won't have to shovel.
Thanks for mentioning the change in time, Don. I missed that and was surprised when I read it in your post.
Tomorrow is really going to feel early when I have to be at a doctor's appointment at 9 am for a checkup.
You posted some colorful critters there to start the daily and some interesting vintage-looking B&W's. I really like the composition of the second B&W shot with the tree with the gnarly limbs and the huge trunk of the other in the foreground. It is a very nice composition.
Congratulation on 51 years of wedded bliss. Looking at today's statistics, count yourself lucky. I sure do feel that way when I look at my relatives and friends and their track records.
Instead of posting a photograph here. I worked on a composite this morning, my Sunday morning ritual and will post it in the FOOD thread that Grant started.
Have a great Sunday and blessings to all.
LORELL
Don,
Morning Everyone, All fun shots.
My Frost offerings may just be over for the year. As I mentioned a day or so ago. Like Flowers, Frost is seasonal.
Even when we do have frost it can disappear when the sun hits it. And the patterns do change every day. Which is part of the charm.
Morning Lorell,
You posted while I was composing.
Happy wintry Sunday, all. It was 27 when I got up, too. Yesterday windy, 30mph with gust of 50mph and snow flakes. Nothing lingered, though...I am so tired of winter......
Don, that lizard is something I have not seen....great find! Also, we don't have that bird, what wonderful colors ...not too good at camouflage, is it? I also really like your pinhole camera shots...vintage looking...you did good! Happy Anniversary, Don.....so glad you got to spend that many years with your love......some aren't so lucky......
Hi, Lorell....the sun is out and I walked the dog, but still bitter cold....at least the wind has subsided! Going over to the food thread to see what I can see!!
Grant, I know what you mean about frost and flowers being seasonal. I went out and the daffodils I posted the other day were beat up by the wind and cold and were laying flat....sad to see, but then there were more buds getting ready to bloom so la la la la la, life goes on in the flower world....again, really nice frost. Are these on a car or house window? Best I have seen were on my car windows!!
You said, "FROSTY MORNINGS MAY JUST BE OVER..." Don's jinx yourself, my friend.
On Tuesday, some of the members from the local camera club and I will be headed for the Henry Ford Historical Museum.
In the past I have created a little scavenger hunt for members who wished to participate when we go on one of these trips.
First I would like to thank Rich for posting his images that he had in his archives. I am even more excited about Tuesday's trip because of them.
I thought maybe he might have some ideas of good SUBJECTS for the my scavenger hunt or maybe others might have some ideas.
I will eventually limit the number of topics to FOUR. But here are some that may be in the running:
An Invention
Moment in History
Vintage Toy
Funny
A Place to Sit
Gizmo or Gadget
Edit:
Hey there Natalie. Walked the dog in some pretty cool temps. Good for you. I just don't feel like getting all bundled up these days, especially with the wind whipping around out there.
Dave, I am jealous of your super bee shot. Great capture and color.
LORELL
Dave, nice bee capture....it's always fun to try to catch them. Last summer, though, it was hard to find any bees.....getting scared we may lose something we NEED badly!!
