Oh my, what a great end to Friday's daily.
Thanks all, I am glad you like the mural. When we were driving around downtown with the camera club members, the driver asked if I ever saw the STEVIE WONDER mural. I too was amazed at the size of it. After all, Stevie deserves something that big considering his talent and fame.

Patty, 14 unused quilts waiting for a good home, OMG. That would be about the height of two mattresses! I can see though, that when it comes to a special occasion or special person, in spite of having the quilts on hand to give away, you would be inclined to go buy new material and create something tailored to their personality, wants, needs, etc. For example, a baby quilt, you would find out the colors and theme of the nursery. Buying the fabric is so fun. I know, I have now shopped the isles with my daughter at Joann fabrics.

Rich, I absolutely LOVE your painting. It is so fresh, colorful, and lively looking. It was so nice of you to donate the prints for the fundraiser. I love your style. You certainly breathe life into your paintings. Do you miss having the Reference Library that we had in WC? How many paintings, like my rooster that you painted, were created using photo images from WC? I am just talking percentage-wise. Take a wild guess.

Grant, all of your family portrait photos make me happy. Maybe it is because you are happy people that smile and look like they enjoy life a lot. Those are not fake smiles, they are authentic and you sure know just when to press the shutter.

Lorell, thanks for the nice comment! I have done a very small percentage from the WC reference library. A few from other members like you. I found a website called Paint my Photo that allows everyone to use their photo  copyright free. The only requirement is to post the finished painting on the site with credit to the photographer. When first starting out I used project books put out by other artists. They were generally not copyright free.
My style of painting is free hand. Lots of crooked lines!! HA.
