Another bot this morning. Thought the group might be interested in what they look like. This was in the profile:

The Indian Sun brings you the latest Australian and Indian news, community stories, business updates, cultural events, interviews, and entertainment for the Indian diaspora.
Visit us-https://www.theindiansun.com.au/

Maybe it was a legit user - but certainly not wanting to join the forum to share photos. User deleted.

Old timer here. I remember when social media was fun! Now if you click on the wrong thing you are flooded with spam and ads. Even the "reels", if your mouse rolls over it and you don't click....bam...tones of the same type reel show up. Disgusting. I would pay a small fee for ad free browsing.
OK, off my soapbox!  Big Grin
Thanks for the work Don, to keep us safe!

Thanks for starting a Daily, Don. And repeated thanks for your work in battling the bots.

Rich, I agree with you about clicking on the wrong thing. Simply browsing the web can expose us to all sorts of bad things.

Regarding social media my opinion is an extreme one: I've never seen the value of it. What happened to face to face interactions with a live person? You get feedback not only through conversation, but also via tone of voice (analytical, emotional, troubled, etc.)

Instead we have an entire generation spending too much time glued to their devices.

Sorry, but no new photos from me.

On the positive side, our extreme heat here in coastal SoCal has ended for now - it's in the 50s as I write this, and areas at the coastline are recovering from the flood damage.

Don, I set things up so I'll receive email notifications of new posts on FotoFriends, but in some cases that has stopped working.

I wish all a good day or evening.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Yes Dave, face to face social interaction is going away. Gald you are recovering from the heat and flooding. It was below 50 degrees here this morning. We wear a jacket in the morning and shorts in the afternoon!

Email for new posts is iffy at best. I usually check every couple of days.

I use all sorts of blockers and have never enjoined any social media. I have Flickr and this site, a sciency type chat group forum, iNaturalist. That's it. I get what we Australians would say, 'buggger all' ie: nothing of spam.
