Not sure what is going on with the forum. I have posted in the help forum to see if anyone there can tell me what is happening. Looks like any post after  July 28 or so now has no visible images. Hopefully some help will be coming.

Thanks Don.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Have not gotten any real help form the software help forum. I'll give it another day.

So far I think the options are:

1. Reinstall the current BB software. This means we will probably lose all information and essentially have to start from scratch. I can try to keep the database, etc but no promises. I'm not really well versed in this area.

1a. Hopefully someone on the support forum can come through with a solution.

2. Try a different software package. Again, see above about starting from scratch.

3. Close down the fotofriends website. Sad Sad

Unless I can get help on restoring the current bulletin board, I would probably lean towards number 2. I have already been looking at alternative installations and have found one that would probably work.

I'll keep folks updated as things progress.

Thanks for your efforts, Don.

IMO, any solution that means starting from scratch and losing all the current should be a last resort.

BTW, I tried linking to a photo that I posted on Flickr, but couldn't get it to work. Probably because I've never tried such a link and likely did something wrong.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

I agree, but as of right now I have literally spent hours chasing this issue, trying multiple "fixes", all to no avail. So now the options seem to be (1) Start fresh, or (2) chuck it all.

Site seems to be back in working order after some tweaks from support personnel, and a lot of research from yours truly.

Keep a lookout for other issues.
